War Poems Their Ideas The poems, The Charge of The Light Brigade and Dulce et Decorum Est,
both deal with an idea of war. The writers both have the same viewpoint about war, but the way
that they articulate those ideas on paper varies. Through literary devices in the poems, the authors
show two different wars, but the same tragic outcome death. These two poems showcase how
people can have different outlooks on war, but in the end they all end with the same deadly

The tone that Alfred Lord Tennyson created for this poem has an honorable and celebratory feel
to it for those whom were lost. The overall tone of the poem capitalizes on the his idea of war
and how we should be acting towards those who have given up themselves to hopefully makes

I have been teaching writing for many years. As a result, I have a variety of papers for students
to write that I know are possible for third graders to write. In addition, each year and group of
students is different so I adjust the papers they write based on the level of the group and the needs
of the individual student.
We work together on planning our papers through a step by step scaffolding process and modeling
so that students have assistance with the planning process. The next stage is for me to walk around
to monitor the students and determine what assistance they need. I check for understanding of the
assignment and make suggestions as needed and to confirm they will be able to write this paper.
During this time, I will assist them with any spelling issues they may have. In addition, I
conference one on one with each student and will help them with spelling during this time. Since
I don t teach spelling, this process has worked the best. Finally, I do teach cursive handwriting so
this is a skill that we work on weekly. My goal is to finish each of the letters in the first semester
and practice these skills in the second.

that I find especially attractive: Margaret Cavendish s Panpsychism. In my discussion of
Cavendish s Panpsychism, I will contrast it with two other models namely, Descartes s Substance

When reflecting on the past few weeks of clinical experience, there is known to be many events
in which I can critically reflect upon in order to improve my clinical practice. During my second
week of clinical, I had been assigned with a tough patient. My patient was in his late 50 s, was a
chronic alcoholic and was an avid smoker. He has a medical history of COPD, hypertension, and
liver cirrhosis resulting from his alcoholic background. However, he had been recently
diagnosed with a right sided stroke. He was homeless as he lived in the motel in town, and had
no family or friends to lean on for support. In particular to my personal critical reflection, my
patient had signed a DNR with limited interventions. According to his wishes, he requested not to
receive any artificial nutrition by tube and refused antibiotics. As a nursing student, wishing to
help people recover, this was a specific component in which I could not wrap my head around.
During the morning of report from the night nurses, I had been surprised to hear that my patient
had been unresponsive and had not been responsive to stimuli. Prior to this, I was unaware that
my patient had been in such horrible shape. I did research the previous day and there was no
significant evidence within the chart that indicated my patient had been in this vegetative state.
