The document discusses the development of an insurance policy called "Water Volumetric" by ACC Group's Geothermal Energy division to insure against the risk of unsuccessful geothermal drilling projects. The policy would cover costs if a drilling project fails to find water of sufficient temperature and volume for energy production, as informed by a third party report. ACC Group believes this policy could help support the growth of the geothermal energy industry worldwide. Key details of the proposed policy and underwriting approach are provided.

Projects: Seismic Reservoir Characterizationusing avo inversion for reservoir characterization
Operators are getting more from their reservoirs by combining high-quality seismic
images with conventional reservoir data. Asset teams use this calibrated seismic
information to gain detailed knowledge of reservoir properties, allowing them to
reduce risk at every stage in the life of their prospects.

"Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.

Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

Search and Society: Reimagining Information Access for Radical FuturesBhaskar Mitra
The field of Information retrieval (IR) is currently undergoing a transformative shift, at least partly due to the emerging applications of generative AI to information access. In this talk, we will deliberate on the sociotechnical implications of generative AI for information access. We will argue that there is both a critical necessity and an exciting opportunity for the IR community to re-center our research agendas on societal needs while dismantling the artificial separation between the work on fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics in IR and the rest of IR research. Instead of adopting a reactionary strategy of trying to mitigate potential social harms from emerging technologies, the community should aim to proactively set the research agenda for the kinds of systems we should build inspired by diverse explicitly stated sociotechnical imaginaries. The sociotechnical imaginaries that underpin the design and development of information access technologies needs to be explicitly articulated, and we need to develop theories of change in context of these diverse perspectives. Our guiding future imaginaries must be informed by other academic fields, such as democratic theory and critical theory, and should be co-developed with social science scholars, legal scholars, civil rights and social justice activists, and artists, among others.

2. Geothermal Energy Related Risk: Water Volumetric EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The growing Geothermal technology for producing alternative energy requires an answer from the insurance sector. The costs of drillings are currently a significant part of the investments for such an important goal. For that reason and due to the fact the science provides the necessary prevention technology to secure profitable operations, is that ACC Group Geothermal Energy division has developed a policy to fulfill the need of insuring the risk of not finding the right temperatures and the necessary flow of qualities waters to produce energy. Our “Water Volumetric” policy is the result of our research in this field. Hoping this is a contribution for Geothermal Energy development.
13. GEOTHERMAL POWER PLANTS People who live in these areas are receiving electricity from geothermal power plants.
14. PLATE BOUNDARIES Earth's crust is broken into huge plates that move apart or push together at about the rate our fingernails grow. Convection of semi-molten rock in the upper mantle helps drive plate tectonics.
15. CO 2 Emissions Comparison (lbs/MW-hr) Source EIA 1999; Bloomfield and Moore
16. GEOTHERMAL PLANTS RISK MITIGATION Science provides the necessary studies to determine the geographical areas where a geothermal plant should be located. Before drilling geological, geochemical and geophysical data analyzed to define the drilling target. Geothermal Energy Sciences used prior to any exploration drilling:
17. - On site reconnaissance - Geological survey and mapping - When possible geochemical sampling and analysis (or review of existing data from nearby drilled wells) - Geophysics including either acoustic or magnetic methods The first scientific investigation steps are: GEOTHERMAL PLANTS RISK MITIGATION
18. EXPLORATION DRILLING WELL TESTING AND LOGGING RESOURCE ASSESSMENT FEASIBILITY STUDIES STEAM FIELD ENGINEERING PLANT DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION SPECIALIZED SOFTWARE PRIOR DRILLING STUDIES GEOTHERMAL PLANTS RISK MITIGATION
19. GEOTHERMAL PLANTS DRILLING STATISTICS SUCCESS RATE OF GEOTHERMAL DRILLINGS The success rate of a geothermal drilling in areas with existing drilling data can reach up to 90%. With recent developments in the geology, hydrogeology, petrology and mapping success rates have reached 90% in particular in Iceland and New Zealand. The New Zealand based geothermal consulting company SKN stated in 2006, that in fields with extensive existing data and feedback from existing drillings the average hit rate during development has reached these 90%. The success ratio in Iceland has currently reached 85 to 90% thanks to companies like Enex, specialized on creating computerized geographical maps of the area to sit the drillings very accurate. Enex also developed the Neuried project.
20. GEOTHERMAL PLANTS DRILLING STATISTICS SUCCESS RATE OF GEOTHERMAL DRILLINGS In Germany the existing geological and geophysical data data are of very good quality and have been monitored for a long time by the regional and national geological and hydrological institutes. In the Rhine region, where Neuried is situated the drilling is done in a fractured zone, which can explain why acidification may be required to obtain the requested flow of 75 liters per second from the production well. This was stated by Prof. Dr STOBER, head of the Geological Department of Land Baden-Wurttemberg in a last assessment. For the project Neuried, we give here under a review of the drillings performed in Germany in the past years.
