1. I am a CEO. I am the CEO of me.
2. I take full responsibility for my actions, my growth, and my outcomes. I
give it 100% and seriously invest in myself. I am a life-long learner.
3. I have very clear goals and a focused, structured plan to get there.
4. I am always assessing my performance, and if I am weak in an area, I
get to work on it (hire a coach, read a book, take a class, etc.)

STEP 2. DEVELOP CLEAR AND PRECISE S.M.A.R.T. GOALS
Please write down 1 to 2 S.M.A.R.T. career goals that you can achieve by this time Next year.
• S.M.A.R.T. goal example:
o Specific: I want to have 2 guest starring roles on a major network TV series and work on 10 film
and TV projects this year doing extra work.
o Measurable: 2 guest starring roles and extra work in 10 film projects
o Attainable and Actionable: I’ve done my research, know how things work, talked to teachers, etc.
and know other people with the same level of experience that I have that have achieved this. So
yes this is realistic. I work hard and am intentional. I will work a focused action plan and do the
things (while trusting God) that I know to do to achieve this goal.
o Relevant: Yes it matters to me. I am really motivated by this goal. That’s all I think about. This
goal makes we want to get up every morning.
o Time Bound: I want to accomplish this goal by Aug. 23, 2015. That’s about (1) extra work in a film
a month. A starring role every 6 months.

STEP 3. ACTION PLAN
Based on your S.M.A.R.T. goal(s), write down the action steps that you will do each month until the end of
the year, in order to achieve your goal. Then at the end of the year, write out action steps for the next 3
months. Repeat this process every 3 months, until you get to August 2015.
S.M.A.R.T. GOAL 1 example:
I want to have 2 guest starring roles on a major network TV series and work on 10 film and TV projects this

ACTION PLAN example:
Aug. 2014
• Relationship Building: Reach out to everyone I met at the Merge, and figure out next Steps
• Support: Find an accountability group to make sure I’m doing what I’m supposed to
• Talent: Evaluate what acting classes, I am taking this Fall.
• Health and Image: Work out 5 days a week, and stay away from sugar
Sept. 2014
• Talent: Acting Class starts. Go there 3x a week
• Research: Talk to and connect with 5 people who are experts at getting an extra job. Do what they
do.
• Marketing: Find photographer and get new head shots
• Marketing: Apply the stuff I learned at Dallas Travers class, and develop and execute my marketing
campaign to Casting Directors.
Oct. 2014
• Research: Make it a habit to read the trades 1 hour daily. When I see something that’s right for me
reach out.
• Get a Mentor: Really try to find a mentor. Meet and connect with this person every 2 months
• Opportunity: When and audition does come in, make sure I am ready to best that I can be
• Relationship Building: Go to one networking event, function a week that is directly related to my
SMART goals.
• Marketing: Continue Fall Marketing campaign
Nov. 2014
• Representation: Start my Holiday campaign looking for an agent. Reach out and make my rounds
wish them a Happy Thanksgiving. Talk about projects for the new year
• Get a Mentor: Really try to find a mentor. Meet and connect with this person every 2 months
• Getting my House in Order: Start looking for more holiday side job work, so that I can pay off my bills.
• Marketing: Continue Fall Marketing campaign
Dec. 2014
• Relationship Building: Reach out to my whole network and wish them Happy Holidays. Go to all the
Holiday Parties.
• Representation: Continue my Holiday campaign looking for an agent. Reach out and make my rounds
wish them a Happy Thanksgiving. Talk about projects for the new year.
• Evaluation: At the end of the year evaluate your efforts and results. See what you need to
adjust and plan for the net 3 months. Every 3 months, repeat the process.

GOALS Please write down 1 to 2 S.M.A.R.T. career goals that you can achieve by this time Next year. • S.M.A.R.T. goal example: o Specific: I want to have 2 guest starring roles on a major network TV series and work on 10 film and TV projects this year doing extra work. o Measurable: 2 guest starring roles and extra work in 10 film projects o Attainable and Actionable: I’ve done my research, know how things work, talked to teachers, etc. and know other people with the same level of experience that I have that have achieved this. So yes this is realistic. I work hard and am intentional. I will work a focused action plan and do the things (while trusting God) that I know to do to achieve this goal. o Relevant: Yes it matters to me. I am really motivated by this goal. That’s all I think about. This goal makes we want to get up every morning. o Time Bound: I want to accomplish this goal by Aug. 23, 2015. That’s about (1) extra work in a film a month. Then at the end of the year, write out action steps for the next 3 months. Repeat this process every 3 months, until you get to August 2015. S.M.A.R.T. GOAL 1 example: I want to have 2 guest starring roles on a major network TV series and work on 10 film and TV projects this year doing extra work by Aug, 23, 2015 ACTION PLAN example: Aug. 2014 • Relationship Building: Reach out to everyone I met at the Merge, and figure out next Steps • Support: Find an accountability group to make sure I’m doing what I’m supposed to • Talent: Evaluate what acting classes, I am taking this Fall. • Health and Image: Work out 5 days a week, and stay away from sugar Sept. 2014 • Talent: Acting Class starts. Go there 3x a week • Research: Talk to and connect with 5 people who are experts at getting an extra job. Do what they do. • Marketing: Find photographer and get new head shots • Marketing: Apply the stuff I learned at Dallas Travers class, and develop and execute my marketing campaign to Casting Directors. Oct. 2014 • Research: Make it a habit to read the trades 1 hour daily. When I see something that’s right for me reach out. • Get a Mentor: Really try to find a mentor. Meet and connect with this person every 2 months • Opportunity: When and audition does come in, make sure I am ready to best that I can be • Relationship Building: Go to one networking event, function a week that is directly related to my SMART goals. • Marketing: Continue Fall Marketing campaign Nov. 2014 • Representation: Start my Holiday campaign looking for an agent. Reach out and make my rounds wish them a Happy Thanksgiving. Talk about projects for the new year • Get a Mentor: Really try to find a mentor. Meet and connect with this person every 2 months • Getting my House in Order: Start looking for more holiday side job work, so that I can pay off my bills. • Marketing: Continue Fall Marketing campaign Dec. 2014 • Relationship Building: Reach out to my whole network and wish them Happy Holidays. Go to all the Holiday Parties. • Representation: Continue my Holiday campaign looking for an agent. Reach out and make my rounds wish them a Happy Thanksgiving. Talk about projects for the new year. • Evaluation: At the end of the year evaluate your efforts and results. See what you need to adjust and plan for the net 3 months.
