South Africa is located at the southern tip of Africa, bordered by Namibia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique and Swaziland. The country's most popular sports are soccer, rugby, and cricket. South Africa has multiple capitals - Pretoria is the executive capital, Bloemfontein is the judicial capital, and Cape Town is the legislative capital. South Africa gained independence from Britain in 1910 and became a republic in 1961.
