- Pluto was reclassified from a planet to a dwarf planet in 2006 after the IAU decided its orbit was not cleared of debris like the other planets.
- The term "plutoed" was coined to describe being demoted or devalued in the same way Pluto was reclassified.
- Pluto's orbit within Neptune's orbit between 1979-1999 led to its reclassification as its orbit is not like the other planets in the solar system.
8. "Plutoed"
The verb "to pluto" (preterite and past participle: "plutoed")
was a neologism coined in the aftermath of its transition
from planet to dwarf planet in the aftermath of the 2006 IAU
decision. In January 2007, the American Dialect Society
chose "plutoed" as its 2006 Word of the Year, defining "to
pluto" as "to demote or devalue someone or something", "as
happened to the former planet Pluto when the General
Assembly of the International Astronomical Union decided
Pluto no longer met its definition of a planet."[137][138]
Society president Cleveland Evans stated the reason for the
organization's selection of "plutoed": "Our members believe
the great emotional reaction of the public to the demotion of
Pluto shows the importance of Pluto as a name. We may no
longer believe in the Roman god Pluto, but we still have a
sense of connection with the former planet."[139]
9. Here it is showing it’s degraded status to dwarf planet.
10. Distance between
Pluto and Charon
Four outer Moons
I do not approve of this demotion. Pluto’s external centre of gravity and its
many moons cover an expansive area of sky.
11. Pluto, God of the underworld,
and Charon, the Boatman who
carried the souls of the dead
across the River Styx are
powerful symbolic figures.
12. Pluto is the Earth’s recycling energy.
He breaks down unwanted objects returning
them into their component parts.
Pluto will degrade anything except
Plutonium.
I think this means that it is time for us to
learn to clean up our own mess.
13. Pluto’s original GLYPH was PL after the Percy
Lowel observatory where he was first seen. He is
now most often symbolised by the glyph on the
left.
14. ROTTING MATTER .. Underground riches … Mines …
anything resulting from a transformational process. Coal,
Oil, Gold.
MANURE and PUSS that results from cleaning the body of
poisons.
Compost
Destruction, Compulsion, Obsession.
Orgasm, giving birth.
Taboo subjects. Hidden agenda’s. Dark secrets.
Powerful emotions: Jealousy, rage, revenge.
Depth Psychology.
The production line.
Building sites, Earth moving machines. Drains and sewers.
The bin man.
15. Project Pluto was a United States government program to develop
nuclear powered ramjet engines for use in cruise missiles. Two
experimental engines were tested at the United States Department
of Energy Nevada Test Site (NTS) in 1961 and 1964.
PLUTONIUM
n. (Symbol Pu)
A naturally radioactive, silvery, metallic transuranic element,
occurring in uranium ores and produced artificially by neutron
bombardment of uranium. Its longest-lived isotope is Pu 244 with a
half-life of 80 million years. It is a radiological poison, specifically
absorbed by bone marrow, and is used, especially the highly
fissionable isotope Pu 239, as a reactor fuel and in nuclear
weapons. Atomic number 94; melting point 640°C; boiling point
3,228°C; specific gravity 19.84; valence 3, 4, 5, 6.
16. Hades (the "unseen")
the unseen realm to which the dead go
upon leaving the world as well as any and
all things beneath the earth. The
"underworld" is ruled by Hades, and was
referred to as Πλούτων (Plouton, related
to the word for "wealth"), hence the
Roman name Pluto. Sophocles referred
to Hades as "the rich one" .
His identifying possessions included a
famed helmet of darkness, given to him
by the Cyclopes, which made anyone
who wore it invisible. Hades was known
to sometimes loan his helmet of
invisibility to both gods and men (such as
Perseus). His dark chariot, drawn by four
coal-black horses, always made for a
fearsome and impressive sight. His other
ordinary attributes were the Narcissus
and Cypress plants, the Key of Hades and
Cerberus, the three-headed dog. He sat
on an ebony throne.
Pluto’s Greek name was Hades.
18. Pluto and Persephone
Persephone/Proserpine was the daughter of Zeus and Demeter, the
goddess of harvest. One day young Persephone was picking flowers in
the meadow when Pluto/Hades burst out of the ground and carried her
away. Where was Persephone? Demeter was devastated - nothing
would grow. This did not go down well with Zeus who with Helios
the Sun had seen the abduction. But, what to do? The innocent child
had eaten the seeds of the pomegranate and was bound to Hades.
19. But it all turned out ok because
Mercury/Hermes (with his silver
tongue) was sent down to sort it
.Remember Mercury can go
anywhere. So Mercury persuaded
Pluto to allow Persephone to visit
her mother for two thirds of the year
(she hadn’t eaten that many seeds)
and Demeter was so overjoyed to see
her beloved daughter– see pic –
everything grew again.
Whew - a close shave with
desertification.
20. Erishkigal – the lady of the great place below – sits in her
underworld seething with jealousy watching her sister
Innana (Venus) flirting in the world above. She is so
enraged she invites Innana to stay and once down in the
under-world (so says one story) she cuts her sister up into
seven pieces and hangs her on seven hooks after which
Ereshkigal sits on her stool and wails with grief.
The noise is dreadful.
Tn this story it is Enki who is called to sort it.
Ereshkigal and innana
21. Enki takes dirt from under his fingernails and moulds it
into little men. ‘Go to Ereshkigal’ he tells them, ‘and sit
with her and mourn her sister’s death. Do not judge her.’
(This is really good advice for Pluto issues.)
So Enki’s mourners sit with Ereshkial and wail. ‘Oh, the
lovely Innana is dead, Oh Oh Oh we are all so sad’.
After a while Ereshkigal is so comforted by this empathy
she can’t but feel better. Indeed, she soon feels so much
better that she sticks her sister back together again and
sends her up the the upper-world to have fun.
22. Both these myths are reassuring us that the dying back
of nature in Autumn carries within it the seeds of a new
spring.
You can learn from these myths
that handling Pluto energy requires subtlety.
Fighting back is unproductive as Pluto is not
afraid of death. Death merely feeds Pluto’s
obsession. Fighting back justifies Pluto’s hate.
23. Mesopotamia flourished during the Age of Taurus/Scorpio
(Venus/Earth/Pluto/Mars). It was during this age that mankind
learnt to build massive and powerful cities which traded with
neighbouring states.
The Twin Towers were a product of the skills learnt during this
age. They were called The World Trade Centre. They were owned
by the New York Port Authorities.
Revelation is the book that purports to describe the coming of the
next New Age. Before the New Age makes itself known we learn
of the famous Fall of Babylon.
It sounds suspiciously familiar.
24. Rev 18:9 And the kings of the earth, who have lived deliciously with her [hall bewail her and
lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
Rev 18:10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city
Babylon that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
Rev 18:11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her .
Rev 18:15 The merchants of these things which were made rich by her , shall stand afar off for
the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
25. Rev 18:16 And saying, Alas, alas that great city that was
clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked
with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!
Rev 18:17 For in one hour so great riches is come to
nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships,
and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
Rev 18:18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her
burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!
Rev 18:19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried,
weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas that great city,
wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by
reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.
26. Terrorism always has a Plutonic ingredient. This is why
Bush’s response to the twin towers attack was so un-
productive. More people have died as a result of his
response than were killed in the towers.
Saturn’s rules do not apply to Pluto. Pluto does
not respond to should’s and shouldn’t’s. Pluto is
The Beast who only responds to love.
Ereshikigal ALLOWS Innana to live. No amount
of scolding could have achieved this effect and
retaliation only exacerbates the problem.
This is a difficult lesson to learn.
