Demographic Characteristics Influencing Satisfaction Level of Pilgrims A Case...ijtsrd
Pilgrimage tourism in India is extremely popular. Major sites of pilgrimage dhams like Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Amarnathji, Shri Shiv Khori, Budha Amaranth and temples under Kangra valley Shrines like Jwalaji, Chitpurni, Chamunda Devi have existed in this region.Even though there has been a lot of research in religious tourism and still there is very limited research that identifies the distinctiveness in behaviour among tourists with different demographic factors. The present study attempted to explore the perception of religious tourism behaviour with different sociodemographic backgrounds. The present study was an attempt made to measure the satisfaction level of the pilgrims regarding different services available to them at various shrines and to find out various problems faced by them. But due to resource, time and cost constraints it was not possible to select all the shrines of Northern India, so the three shrines of Northern India namely Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Jwalaji and Shiv Khori has been selected as these three shrines are geographically identical with respect to pilgrimage. The aim of the research was to ascertain the satisfaction level of pilgrims visiting the holy shrines as per their demographic profile. Golden domed temples and tastefully landscaped lawns have replaced dilapidated wooden houses in the riverside region of Nizhny Novgorod. A picturesque monastery complex now exists where there used to be an abandoned village. About a decade ago, a handful of Russian Hindu monks led by Swami Vishnudevanand laid the foundation of Divya Loka Ashram. They sought to expand the reach of Sanatana Dharma and to lead a life guided by the Vedas.

Indianness in Padmanath Gohainbaruah’s ‘Srikrishna’ijtsrd
The term Indianness is not easy to define as it includes various dimensions. In simple words, Indianness is the feeling of oneness or it is a feeling of unity among the Indians irrespective of caste, religion, sex or status. Though it is a newly developed perspective, but its existence can be felt from ancient times. In this research article, an attempt has been made to grasp the idea of 'Indianness' as showcased by Padmanath gohainbaruah through his projection of numerous facets of the central character Srikrishna in his creation 'Srikrishna'. Srikrishna can be considered that momentous work of the third decade of the twentieth century, which features the character of Srikrishna as a man of action covering his birth and family lineage up to his death. A research survey was conducted with a population of 50 samples in all the nine navagraha temples which aimed to identify the overall satisfaction level of the tourist that includes devotees' perception, preferences, satisfaction with various services and facilities and the level of satisfaction of various services offered to the pilgrimage tourist in navagraha temples of Tamil Nadu. For the present study a ranking questionnaire was premeditated to quantify the preferences of facilities available to the pilgrimage tourists. The questionnaire was dispersed to 450 tourists 50 in each of the navagraha temples and all the 450 tourists have replied with complete data and nobody have submitted with incomplete data or not submitted. Based on the study, the inferences and interpretations are given to enable the readers to understand the real aims and objectives of the study. Countless theories describe some or the other aspect of truth and satiate a seeker's quest. We are tiny, insignificant creatures striving to know how the universe works, the fundamental laws of nature and questions like that. By far, through my experiences and whatever knowledge I've gained, I've analysed that, be it modern science or any human belonging to any community or nation, we are helpless in front of death. And it is something each of us has to face sooner or later, be it ours or anyone dear to us. In these times of void, grief, and dilemma, we need a theory that provides peace or answers to our woeful situation. India is undeniably the hub of the most ancient philosophies of the world. Without a doubt, all religious philosophies offer some solace in such times, and as I said earlier, we are tiny, insignificant creatures; we tend to adopt a theory that seems the best to our logical or not-so-logical minds. Death and countless other questions, answers of which one seeks throughout one's life, are not available anywhere except religious philosophies. In all the contexts of restlessness, grieving or any other, this Indian philosophy of wisdom, which we know as the Jain Philosophy, has provided solace to my restlessness. Hence, when my transformation happened after coming in touch with this ancient Indian wisdom, I decided to dedicate my time and life to understanding, researching and propagating the same.
Thanks
Dr Medhavi Jain
