15. Benefits of Dynamic Accountability
● Improve our decision making as an agency. Our decisions will increasingly be driven by our
stakeholders who each bring different perspectives and insights into the issues we are trying to work on.
● Building trust with partners, communities and young people. By sharing information and listening
to our stakeholders, this will build trust in our agency as well as share the impact and ownership of the
work we do.
● Proving our own case for youth-led development. We believe our impact will be greater because
young people have a role in leading, partnering and holding our agency to account. By using this
approach internally we are practicing what we preach, and creating evidence for this approach.
16. Making it Work
● Align to your values, strategy and ways of working. Find the reason why you want to do this as an
organisation, and how it can work alongside your values, strategy and established processes.
● Wider culture shift. If you want to go beyond transparency and ticking a box, a wider shift in how you
view and work with your stakeholders is essential.
● Focus on Frameworks. There are frameworks out there that can guide and support you on a path to
Dynamic Accountability such as the Core Humanitarian Standard and the Global Standard.
