REFERENCE TO APGVB AND TSCAB IN
TELANGANA
3. ABSTRACT
The present research study is HRM Practices in APGVB and TSCAB
banks in the face of competition is to have a well-defined and well-
designed Human Resource Management Practices. No doubt, the
well-established Andhra Pradesh GrameenaVikas Bank and
Telangana State Co-oparative Apex Bank operating at the State
level are already assessed with the required manpower. But, the
APGVB and TSCAB, serving nearly 90% of the population are also
making their effort by restructuring on equality with the
established branches by modern technology and are facing
manpower problem in terms of Business growth. Hence, the
present study is a vigorous to identify existing position of the
APGVB and TSCAB in terms of Recruitment and Selection process
and Promotions, Transfers and Training and Development to
improve the grade of manpower to enhance the more strength of
the Andhra Pradesh GrameenaVikas Bank and Telangana State Co
oparative Apex Bank.

5. INTRODUCTION
Human Resource Management at APGVB and TSCAB is
a process to discover the sources of Human Resource
Management to meet the Requirements of the staffing
pattern and recruitment measures for making that
manpower in adequate numbers to good selection of a
talentemployees. The main objective of recruitment is to
get of manpower to meet job requirements and
specifications.
Manpower planning is the first step in the process, which
continues with selection and ceases with placed of the
candidate. It is the next stage in the procurement
function, the first step being the manpower planning.
6. OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
To Study the Human Resource Management
process in APGVB and TSCAB
7. METHODOLOGY OF THE STUDY
The present study is based on primary and secondary
data. The Secondary data have been obtained from
the following sources:- For the collection of
secondary information and data sources like
Published annual reports of APGVB and
TSCAB.Different policies of selected RBI bulletins ,
annual reports from head office Warangal,
Telangana.TSCAB back volumes, annual reports
from head office Hyderabad, Telangana..
8. SAMPLING
The Andhra Pradesh GrameenaVikas Bank and Telangana State Cooparative Apex
Bank in Telangana state has been selected for the study purposefully Andhra
Pradesh GrameenaVikas Bank has been operating with 774 branches and Telangana
State Cooparative Apex Bank has been operating with 799 . These branches are
classified into urban, semi-urban and rural branches. Out of this total branches, a
sample of 1 urban branch, 1 semi urban branch and 2 rural branches from each
district, comprising of 6 urban, 6 semi urban and 12 rural branches have been
selected on random basis for the study. The total sample comes to 24 branches.
There are as many as 3386 and 545 employees working in all the branches and they
have been classified category-wise, such as officers, office assistants and sub-staff.
Out of the total number of employees i.e., 3386, only the officer cadre and office
assistants are taken for the study, which comprises of 1914 employees. The sub-staff
are ignored as most of them are uneducated and under educated and unable to
respond. A sample of 10% of employees is selected on the basis of stratified random
sampling method. The sample consists of 184 officers and 146 office assistants.
Hence, the total sample comes to 330 employees. Simple random sampling
technique has been employed in this study only the Telangana districts are covered
for the study.
9. SCOPE OF THE STUDY
The scope of the study is limited to the manpower
planning in APGVB head office Warangal and
TSCAB head office Hyderabad. Recruitment and
Selection has gone to extreme level at present
because it has to reach the requirement of the
regional rural banks and Coparative Banks. Because
of core competency among the banks there is a
necessity of planning Recruitment and Selection the
scope is limited to head office Warangal and
Hyderabad.

13. χ2-test for significance in the approaches made in Human Resource
Management Process in APGVB and TSCAB
It is used to test whether variation among the approaches made in Human
Resource Management Process are significant (or) not.
Step 1: We set up the null hypothesis as
H0: Approaches made in Human Resource Management Process in APGVB and
TSCAB are not significant
Step 2: We set up the alternative hypothesis as
H1: Approaches made in Human Resource Management Process in APGVB and
TSCAB are significant
Step 3: Assume the level of significance α as 0.05
i.e., P{Rejecting H0 when it is true}=0.05
Step 4: The χ2- test statistic value for testing H0 is 3.33
Step 5: χ2- test concludes that no significant difference between the
approaches followed in Human Resource Management Process in APGVB and
TSCAB.
The above table I, reveals thatα as 3.33of the respondents satisfied with HRM
practices
14. CONCLUSION
Human Resource Management plays a crucial role in
APGVB and TSCAB. The creative abilities, capabilities
and knowledge of human resource are no significant
difference between the approaches followed in Human
Resource Management Process in APGVB and TSCAB.
Incase of service organizations, where the very
nature of functioning, needs all these qualities of
employees. The aspect of Recruitment and Selection also
assumes importance in present day conditions in APGVB
and TSCAB .The APGVB and TSCAB in particular are
entering into various innovative areas of services of their
customers. This enlargement of jobs needs enhancement
of capabilities and potentialities of employees.
