DYNAMIC TASK SCHEDULING BASED ON BURST TIME REQUIREMENT FOR CLOUD ENVIRONMENTIJCNCJournal
Cloud computing has an indispensable role in the modern digital scenario. The fundamental challenge of cloud systems is to accommodate user requirements which keep on varying. This dynamic cloud environment demands the necessity of complex algorithms to resolve the trouble of task allotment. The overall performance of cloud systems is rooted in the efficiency of task scheduling algorithms. The dynamic property of cloud systems makes it challenging to find an optimal solution satisfying all the evaluation metrics. The new approach is formulated on the Round Robin and the Shortest Job First algorithms. The Round Robin method reduces starvation, and the Shortest Job First decreases the average waiting time. In this work, the advantages of both algorithms are incorporated to improve the makespan of user tasks.

An Adaptive Load Balancing Middleware for Distributed SimulationGabriele D'Angelo
The simulation is useful to support the design and performance evaluation of complex systems, possibly composed by a massive number of interacting entities. For this reason, the simulation of such systems may need aggregate computation and memory resources obtained by clusters of parallel and distributed execution units. Shared computer clusters composed of available Commercial-Off-the-Shelf hardware are preferable to dedicated systems, mainly for cost reasons. The performance of distributed simulations is influenced by the heterogeneity of execution units and by their respective CPU load in background. Adaptive load balancing mechanisms could improve the resources utilization and the simulation process execution, by dynamically tuning the simulation load with an eye to the synchronization and communication overheads reduction. In this work it will be presented the GAIA+ framework: a new load balancing mechanism for distributed simulation. The framework has been evaluated by performing testbed simulations of a wireless ad hoc network model. Results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed solutions.

THRESHOLD BASED VM PLACEMENT TECHNIQUE FOR LOAD BALANCED RESOURCE PROVISIONIN...IJCNCJournal
The unbalancing load issue is a multi-variation, multi-imperative issue that corrupts the execution and productivity of processing assets. Workload adjusting methods give solutions of load unbalancing circumstances for two bothersome aspects over-burdening and under-stacking. Cloud computing utilizes planning and workload balancing for a virtualized environment, resource partaking in cloud foundation. These two factors must be handled in an improved way in cloud computing to accomplish ideal resource sharing. Henceforth, there requires productive resource, asset reservation for guaranteeing load advancement in the cloud. This work aims to present an incorporated resource, asset reservation, and workload adjusting calculation for effective cloud provisioning. The strategy develops a Priority-based Resource Scheduling Model to acquire the resource, asset reservation with threshold-based load balancing for improving the proficiency in cloud framework. Extending utilization of Virtual Machines through the suitable and sensible outstanding task at hand modifying is then practiced by intensely picking a job from submitting jobs using Priority-based Resource Scheduling Model to acquire resource asset reservation. Experimental evaluations represent, the proposed scheme gives better results by reducing execution time, with minimum resource cost and improved resource utilization in dynamic resource provisioning conditions.
A Kernel-Level Traffic Probe to Capture and Analyze Data Flows with Prioritiesidescitation
This paper describes the proposal of a priority flow
oriented design of the Ksensor architecture. Ksensor is a
multiprocessor traffic capture and analysis system for high
speed networks developed at kernel space. While the current
architecture permits the capture and analysis of data flows,
there are several scenarios where it does not perform
adequately to achieve this goal, for example, if a certain type
of traffic is more valuable than others. Thus, this work pursues
the design that allows Ksensor to provide data flow treatment
to a larger extent. This improvement will allow the new
architecture to provide more reliability in data flow capture
and processing.
Public Cloud Partition Using Load Status Evaluation and Cloud Division RulesIJSRD
with growth of cloud computing load balancing is important impact on performance. Cloud computing efficiency depends on good load balancer. Many type of situation occur that time cloud partitioning is done by load balancer. Different type of situation needed different type of strategies for public cloud portioning using load balancer.in this paper we work on, partition of public cloud using two type of situation first is load status evaluation and second is cloud division rules. Load status evaluation is measure in number of cloudlets arrives at datacenter and cloud divisions rules are based on cloudlet come from which geographical location. On the basis of geographical location we partition public cloud and improve performance of load balancing in cloud computing. We implement proposed system with help of cloudsim3.0 simulator.
ADVANCED DIFFUSION APPROACH TO DYNAMIC LOAD-BALANCING FOR CLOUD STORAGEijdpsjournal
Load-balancing techniques have become a critical function in cloud storage systems that consist of complex heterogeneous networks of nodes with different capacities. However, the convergence rate of any load-balancing algorithm as well as its performance deteriorated as the number of nodes in the system, the diameter of the network and the communication overhead increased. Therefore, this paper presents an approach aims at scaling the system out not up - in other words, allowing the system to be expanded by adding more nodes without the need to increase the power of each node while at the same time increasing the overall performance of the system. Also, our proposal aims at improving the performance by not only
considering the parameters that will affect the algorithm performance but also simplifying the structure of the network that will execute the algorithm. Our proposal was evaluated through mathematical analysis as well as computer simulations, and it was compared with the centralized approach and the original diffusion technique. Results show that our solution outperforms them in terms of throughput and response time.
Finally, we proved that our proposal converges to the state of equilibrium where the loads in all in-domain nodes are the same since each node receives an amount of load proportional to its capacity. Therefore, we conclude that this approach would have an advantage of being fair, simple and no node is privileged.
Many real-time systems are naturally distributed and these distributed systems require not only highavailability
but also timely execution of transactions. Consequently, eventual consistency, a weaker type of
strong consistency is an attractive choice for a consistency level. Unfortunately, standard eventual
consistency, does not contain any real-time considerations. In this paper we have extended eventual
consistency with real-time constraints and this we call real-time eventual consistency. Followed by this new
definition we have proposed a method that follows this new definition. We present a new algorithm using
revision diagrams and fork-join data in a real-time distributed environment and we show that the proposed
method solves the problem.
NETWORK-AWARE DATA PREFETCHING OPTIMIZATION OF COMPUTATIONS IN A HETEROGENEOU...IJCNCJournal
Rapid development of diverse computer architectures and hardware accelerators caused that designing parallel systems faces new problems resulting from their heterogeneity. Our implementation of a parallel
system called KernelHive allows to efficiently run applications in a heterogeneous environment consisting
of multiple collections of nodes with different types of computing devices. The execution engine of the
system is open for optimizer implementations, focusing on various criteria. In this paper, we propose a new
optimizer for KernelHive, that utilizes distributed databases and performs data prefetching to optimize the
execution time of applications, which process large input data. Employing a versatile data management
scheme, which allows combining various distributed data providers, we propose using NoSQL databases
for our purposes. We support our solution with results of experiments with real executions of our OpenCL
implementation of a regular expression matching application in various hardware configurations.
Additionally, we propose a network-aware scheduling scheme for selecting hardware for the proposed
optimizer and present simulations that demonstrate its advantages.
Elastic neural network method for load prediction in cloud computing gridIJECEIAES
Cloud computing still has no standard definition, yet it is concerned with Internet or network on-demand delivery of resources and services. It has gained much popularity in last few years due to rapid growth in technology and the Internet. Many issues yet to be tackled within cloud computing technical challenges, such as Virtual Machine migration, server association, fault tolerance, scalability, and availability. The most we are concerned with in this research is balancing servers load; the way of spreading the load between various nodes exists in any distributed systems that help to utilize resource and job response time, enhance scalability, and user satisfaction. Load rebalancing algorithm with dynamic resource allocation is presented to adapt with changing needs of a cloud environment. This research presents a modified elastic adaptive neural network (EANN) with modified adaptive smoothing errors, to build an evolving system to predict Virtual Machine load. To evaluate the proposed balancing method, we conducted a series of simulation studies using cloud simulator and made comparisons with previously suggested approaches in the previous work. The experimental results show that suggested method betters present approaches significantly and all these approaches.

Abstract— Cloud storage is usually distributed infrastructure, where data is not stored in a single device but is spread to several storage nodes which are located in different areas. To ensure data availability some amount of redundancy has to be maintained. But introduction of data redundancy leads to additional costs such as extra storage space and communication bandwidth which required for restoring data blocks. In the existing system, the storage infrastructure is considered as homogeneous where all nodes in the system have same online availability which leads to efficiency losses. The proposed system considers that distributed storage system is heterogeneous where each node exhibit different online availability. Monte Carlo Sampling is used to measure the online availability of storage nodes. The parallel version of Particle Swarm Optimization is used to assign redundant data blocks according to their online availability. The optimal data assignment policy reduces the redundancy and their associated cost.

AN OPEN JACKSON NETWORK MODEL FOR HETEROGENEOUS INFRASTRUCTURE AS A SERVICE O...IJCNCJournal
Cloud computing is an environment which provides services for user demand such as software, platform, infrastructure. Applications which are deployed on cloud computing have become more varied and complex to adapt to increase end-user quantity and fluctuating workload. One popular characteristic of
cloud computing is the heterogeneity of network, hosts and virtual machines (VM). There were many studies on cloud computing modeling based on queuing theory, but most studies have focused on homogeneity characteristic. In this study, we propose a cloud computing model based on open Jackson
network for multi-tier application systems which are deployed on heterogeneous VMs of IaaS cloud computing. The important metrics are analyzed in our experiments such as mean waiting time; mean request quantity, the throughput of the system. Besides that, metrics in model is used to modify number VMs
allocated for applications. Result of experiments shows that open queue network provides high efficiency.
Development of a Suitable Load Balancing Strategy In Case Of a Cloud Computi...IJMER
Cloud computing is an attracting technology in the field of computer science. In
Gartner’s report, it says that the cloud will bring changes to the IT industry. The cloud is changing
our life by providing users with new types of services. Users get service from a cloud without paying
attention to the details. NIST gave a definition of cloud computing as a model for enabling
ubiquitous, convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing
resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications, and services) that can be rapidly
provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction. More
and more people pay attention to cloud computing. Cloud computing is efficient and scalable but
maintaining the stability of processing so many jobs in the cloud computing environment is a very
complex problem with load balancing receiving much attention for researchers. Since the job
arrival pattern is not predictable and the capacities of each node in the cloud differ, for load
balancing problem, workload control is crucial to improve system performance and maintain
stability. Load balancing schemes depending on whether the system dynamics are important can be
either static or dynamic. Static schemes do not use the system information and are less complex
while dynamic schemes will bring additional costs for the system but can change as the system
status changes. A dynamic scheme is used here for its flexibility. The model has a main controller
and balancers to gather and analyze the information. Thus, the dynamic control has little influence
on the other working nodes. The system status then provides a basis for choosing the right load
balancing strategy. The load balancing model given in this research article is aimed at the public
cloud which has numerous nodes with distributed computing resources in many different
geographic locations. Thus, this model divides the public cloud into several cloud partitions. When
the environment is very large and complex, these divisions simplify the load balancing. The cloud
has a main controller that chooses the suitable partitions for arriving jobs while the balancer for
each cloud partition chooses the best load balancing strategy.

Performance and Cost Evaluation of an Adaptive Encryption Architecture for Cl...Editor IJLRES
The cloud database as a service is a novel paradigm that can support several Internet-based applications, but its adoption requires the solution of information confidentiality problems. We propose a novel architecture for adaptive encryption of public cloud databases that offers an interesting alternative to the tradeoff between the required data confidentiality level and the flexibility of the cloud database structures at design time. We demonstrate the feasibility and performance of the proposed solution through a software prototype. Moreover, we propose an original cost model that is oriented to the evaluation of cloud database services in plain and encrypted instances and that takes into account the variability of cloud prices and tenant workloads during a medium-term period.

introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10

A Stochastic Model to Investigate Data Center Performance
and QoS in IaaS Cloud Computing Systems
ABSTRACT:
Cloud data center management is a key problem due to the numerous and
heterogeneous strategies that can be applied, ranging from the VM placement to
the federation with other clouds. Performance evaluation of cloud computing
infrastructures is required to predict and quantify the cost-benefit of a strategy
portfolio and the corresponding quality of service (QoS) experienced byusers. Such
analyses are not feasible by simulation or on-the-field experimentation, due to the
great number of parameters that have to be investigated. In this paper, we present
an analytical model, based on stochastic reward nets (SRNs), that is both scalable
to model systems composed of thousands of resources and flexible to represent
different policies and cloud-specific strategies. Several performance metrics are
defined and evaluated to analyze the behavior of a cloud data center: utilization,
availability, waiting time, and responsiveness. A resiliency analysis is also
provided to take into account load bursts. Finally, a general approach is presented
that, starting from the concept of system capacity, can help system managers to
opportunely set the data center parameters under different working conditions.
2. EXISTING SYSTEM:
In order to integrate business requirements and application level needs, in
terms of Quality of Service (QoS), cloud service provisioning is regulated by
Service Level Agreements (SLAs): contracts between clients and providers
that express the price for a service, the QoS levels required during the
service provisioning, and the penalties associated with the SLA violations.
In such a context, performance evaluation plays a key role allowing system
managers to evaluate the effects of different resource management strategies
on the data center functioning and to predict the corresponding
costs/benefits.
Cloud systems differ from traditional distributed systems. First of all, they
are characterized by a very large number of resources that can span different
administrative domains. Moreover, the high level of resource abstraction
allows to implement particular resource management techniques such as VM
multiplexing or VM live migration that, even if transparent to final users,
have to be considered in the design of performance models in order to
accurately understand the system behavior. Finally, different clouds,
belonging to the same or to different organizations, can dynamically join
each other to achieve a common goal, usually represented by the
optimization of resources utilization. This mechanism, referred to as cloud
federation, allows to provide and release resources on demand thus
providing elastic capabilities to the whole infrastructure.
3. DISADVANTAGES OF EXISTING SYSTEM:
On-the-field experiments are mainly focused on the offered QoS, they are
based on a black box approach that makes difficult to correlate obtained data
to the internal resource management strategies implemented by the system
provider.
Simulation does not allow to conduct comprehensive analyses of the system
performance due to the great number of parameters that have to be
investigated.
PROPOSED SYSTEM:
In this paper, we present a stochastic model, based on Stochastic Reward
Nets (SRNs), that exhibits the above mentioned features allowing to capture
the key concepts of an IaaS cloud system.
The proposed model is scalable enough to represent systems composed of
thousands of resources and it makes possible to represent both physical and
virtual resources exploiting cloud specific concepts such as the infrastructure
elasticity. With respect to the existing literature, the innovative aspect of the
present work is that a generic and comprehensive view of a cloud system is
presented.
Low level details, such as VM multiplexing, are easily integrated with cloud
based actions such as federation, allowing to investigate different mixed
strategies. An exhaustive set of performance metrics are defined regarding
both the system provider (e.g., utilization) and the final users (e.g.,
responsiveness).
4. ADVANTAGES OF PROPOSED SYSTEM:
To provide a fair comparison among different resource management
strategies, also taking into account the system elasticity, a performance
evaluation approach is described.
Such an approach, based on the concept of system capacity, presents a
holistic view of a cloud system and it allows system managers to study the
better solution with respect to an established goal and to opportunely set the
system parameters.
SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE:
MODULES:
5. 1. System Queuing
2. Scheduling Module
3. VM Placement Module
4. Federation Module
5. Arrival Process
MODULES DESCRIPTION:
1. System Queuing:
Job requests (in terms of VM instantiation requests) are en-queued in the system
queue. Such a queue has a finite size Q, once its limit is reached further requests
are rejected. The system queue is managed according to a FIFO scheduling policy.
2. Scheduling Module:
When a resource is available a job is accepted and the corresponding VM is
instantiated. We assume that the instantiation time is negligible and that the service
time (i.e., the time needed to execute a job) is exponentially distributed with
mean1/μ.
3. VM Placement:
According to the VM multiplexing technique the cloud system can provide a
number M of logical resources greater than N. In this case, multiple VMs can be
allocated in the same physical machine (PM), e.g., a core in a multicore
architecture. Multiple VMs sharing the same PM can incur in a reduction of the
performance mainly due to I/O interference between VMs.
6. 4. Federation Module:
Cloud federation allows the system to use, in particular situations, the resources
offered by other public cloud systems through a sharing and paying model. In this
way, elastic capabilities can be exploited in order to respond to particular load
conditions. Job requests can be redirected to other clouds by transferring the
corresponding VM disk images through the network.
5. Arrival Process:
Finally, we respect to the arrival process we will investigate three different
scenarios. In the first one (Constant arrival process) we assume the arrival process
be a homogeneous Poisson process with rate λ. However, large scale d istributed
systems with thousands of users, such as cloud systems, could exhibit self-similarity/
long-range dependence with respect to the arrival process. The last
scenario (Bursty arrival process) takes into account the presence of a burst whit
fixed and short duration and it will be used in order to investigate the system
resiliency
