Project Experience
ADA Curb Ramp Improvements, Jacksonville, Florida 32202 & 32204 – Construction
Inspector/AssistantProjectManager
Ms. Spencer’s duties for this project included Inspecting the construction of identified
access ramps to ensure compliancewith the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Rampsidentifiedaredemolished,re-formedin accordancewith ADAregulations,andfilled
with fresh concrete at the appropriate slope, whichwas measured and confirmed bythe use
of a Smart Tool Level. The placement of warning mats at appropriate lengths and widths
werealso affixed at eachramp.It was Ms. Spencer’sresponsibilityto ensureall regulations
were followed during all phases of the project. She was also namedthe Point of Contact
among the Contractor and the Project Manager/Project Engineer for C&ES. While in that
capacity, Ms. Spencer satisfied all complaints from residents in areas of construction
safeguarding theCity ofJacksonville,aswellas the Contractor.

MurrayHill ArtsCenterADARenovations,Jacksonville,Florida –DepartmentofParks,
Recreation,&CommunityServices –ProjectManager
Ms. Spencer served as Project Manager for the Murray Hill Arts Center ADA Renovations
project.Thepurposeofthisprojectwas to renovatethecenter,insideandoutside,making
it ADAcompliant,andtoimprovethe functionalityof the work areas. It included theaddition
of a new ADA compliant sidewalk and ramp approaching the new extension of the porch
(back entrance) area, bath and toiletry upgrades, HVAC and electrical upgrades, newly
installed hand and guardrails, new flooring, and the addition of a new cabinet storage area.
Additional responsibilities of Ms. Spencer included the reviewing of shop drawings,
responding to Contractor RFI’s, addressing citizen complaints and coordinating with
theCityADA ComplianceOfficer.

YatesParking GarageADAUpgrades,Jacksonville,Florida –Civil EngineerIntern
This project called for ADA compliance upgrades to the existing parking facility located in
downtownJacksonville.A total of 12 new ADA compliantparking spaces werefeaturedin
the design,as wellas a new entryramp meeting ADAsloperequirements. Bywayof the
AutoCad Civil 3D software, Ms. Spencer created the design; including a demolitionlayout, a
new gradingplanwith appropriateelevations, and a new site geometryplanincorporating all
associated dimensions, ADA compliance notes and details, and pavement markings.
Included in the Civil plans were also a Maintenance of Traffic plan, and Erosion Control plan
with detailsandnotes.

ThisprojectallowedMs.Spencerto provide a designfor parkinglot improvementsof the SeniorCenter locatedin the Oceanwayarea. The
designproducedmoreefficientparkingofautomobiles,andeaseofaccesstotheCenterfor the SeniorTransportationbuses.Thenewdesign
consisted of three (3) individual parking lot options incorporating parallel and angled parking. Byway of the AutoCad Civil 3D software, Ms.
Spencer created the design; includinga demolition layout, new asphalt grading elevations, new geometryto be incorporated all associated
pavementmarkings,as wellas a MaintenanceofTraffic planwithdetailsandnotes.

Thisprojectconsistsofdesigningpavinganddrainageimprovementsandincidentalutilityadjustmentstofour(4)streets withinthePineForest
area, all located north of Emerson Street. The limits of work and proposed design improvements will include, but maynot be limited to the

student parking areas to be incorporated within the existing parking area. The final design featured the addition of 11 total parking areas,
creatingapproximately165additionalparkingforthe JU community.

Ms. Spencerwasresponsibleforthe oversight of carpetinstallationatbuilding6,as wellas 2 hangeradjustments.

1736SilverStreet Renovation,Jacksonville,Florida –AssistantProjectManager
Thiswasa historicalhomerenovationproject,locatedinthe SpringfieldHistoricalDistrictofJacksonville.Responsibilitiesincluded,butwere
not limited to, preparing and administering all sub-contract agreements, preparing detailed schedule of Subcontractors performing various
scopesof work beginningwiththeform andframingcrew,plumber,windowsanddoorscontractors,electricians, drywallcontractors,roofers,
painters, and carpenters. Ms. Spencer also prepared Certified Payroll in accordance with applicable statutes and resulting payment
applicationsthroughoutthelife of the project.

Fresh Ministries,Jacksonville,Florida –AssistantProjectManager
This project consisted of the renovation of an existing ~10,000 SF, 2-story building. Building is to be made into a business training and
mentoring center. Construction included the erection of a new CMU block elevator shaft, new stairwells, and partition walls for offices and
classrooms.SomeofMs.Spencer’sresponsibilitiesincludeddocumentcontrolandoversightofcontractadministrationforall Subcontractors.
Contract Administration included the actual contract agreements, Section 3 Labor required documents and forms, and all “New Hires”
information.Shealso preparedCertifiedPayroll in accordancewithapplicablestatutesandresultingpayment applications throughoutthelife
