Andrew is a Parking Consultant in the Kalamazoo office. His areas of focus are project
management, parking consul ng, traffic engineering and restora on consul ng. In addi on
to Andrew’s consul ng and engineering responsibili es, he’s regularly asked to speak at
conferences.
His parking consul ng responsibili es include parking master planning, basis of design
documents; supply/demand analysis; projec ng future parking demand; coordina ng field
data collec on teams; analysis of data from the field including future parking projec ons;
iden fying improvements for exis ng parking systems.
Regarding technology, Andrew worked with his clients around the globe to iden fy
the technology related to parking appropriate to the objec ves of each project. A er
the technology is iden fied, Andrew develops the documents for bid solicita on and
procurement. The technologies o en recommended include parking guidance systems as
well as systems for access and revenue control. Andrew o en designs new signage and
wayfinding to be incorporated in the technology package, other mes the new signage
designs are a stand alone project.
Andrew’s role in traffic engineering studies include analysis of exis ng traffic condi ons
on the street system; analysis of future traffic condi ons on the street system both from
future traffic; as well as addi ons from traffic for known developments. Andrew also makes
recommenda ons for improvements to the roadway system and traffic signals based on the
results of his analysis. Andrew has conducted consul ng engagements and traffic impact
studies for developers, mixed use facili es, hospitals, banks, municipali es, churches, and
other clients. Andrew works closely with his clients during all phases to ensure per nent
informa on is exchanged on the status of the project.
His restora on responsibili es include evalua on and condi on appraisals on parking
facili es and infrastructure type projects, technical development of construc on
documents, and field representa on and construc on administra on during construc on.
Andrew manages design coordina on, informa on flow, project design scheduling, and
client interac on. Andrew is also responsible for development of asset management plans
and mul --year budget forecast models for maintenance and repairs on various parking and
concrete infrastructure facili es.
