A dictatorship is defined as an oppressive state where power is held by a single individual or group that has gained control through violence without citizens' consent. In dictatorships, citizens' rights are not respected and people can be imprisoned or killed by the state. Dictatorships are considered bad forms of government because they harm citizens and do not respect individual rights or economic freedom, resulting in poorer societies and lower standards of living compared to democratic systems of government.
The document discusses various types and causes of global terrorism, including political and non-political terrorism, state terrorism, and terrorist groups operating in different countries like Sri Lanka, China, Pakistan, India, and others. It also outlines counter-terrorism strategies used by governments, such as intelligence agencies, paramilitary forces, and international cooperation. Emerging threats discussed include cyber-terrorism, biological warfare, nuclear threats, corporate hijackings, and other forms of terrorism.
This document discusses and compares democracy and dictatorship as forms of government. It provides definitions and highlights of democracy, including that it is a form of government by the people through elections. It also outlines some merits and demerits of democracy, such as people having a choice in leaders but the potential for corruption. The document then defines dictatorship as rule by a single individual or group, and provides examples of dictatorial regimes in Pakistan's history. It analyzes periods of economic development under dictators compared to challenges faced by democracies. In conclusion, it emphasizes the importance of strengthening democracy through fair elections and an engaged, educated citizenry.
Migrant Workers under the Domestic Law and International Labour Organization ...Mohammed Rahel
Malaysia has profited extraordinarily from the employment of migrant workers in a few financially imperative areas. Amid the most recent two decades, these workers have given the labour that has fuelled the nation's development as an upper-centre wage nation. However, guaranteeing that migrant workers get reasonable treatment keeps on demonstrating troublesome, with reports of mishandling in a few major industries. In light of late improvements in international trade and more scrutiny examination of worldwide supply chains, there has been expanded weight from the global group to order approach and institutional changes that will better ensure the rights of migrants. The International Labour Organization (ILO) has been giving specialized help to the government and social accomplices to reinforce labour migration administration in Malaysia. Key territories of work have included contributing inputs to draft enactment and reciprocal agreements, enhancing the accumulation of labour migration statistics. The insurance of workers employed in a nation other than their nation of root has dependably had a critical place among the exercises of the ILO, since more than whatever other specialists they are at risk to misuse, especially on the off chance that they are in an unpredictable circumstance and are casualties of the trafficking of people. This paper concentrates on the migrant worker, assurance of whether Domestic Law or ILO Convention and the current insurance that is accessible in Malaysia's employment laws.

Abstract: The Central African Republic like the heart World, through the vicissitudes given its geographical position. Its accession in 1960 to the Maoist movement has been consolidated by the China-Africa Forum held in October 2000 in Beijing. It is in this perspective that President François Bozize, September 10, 2009, appealed to his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao to invest in his country. Judge in the Dock: As the March 10 deadline for Justice Karnan’s response to contempt notice nears, the larger issue of disciplining judges assumes a national dimension
The document discusses how China's political environment has impacted sex trafficking, sex tourism, and pornography throughout history. It notes that while prostitution was state-sponsored as early as the 7th century BC, private commercialization flourished from the 13th to 19th centuries. When the Communist party gained power in 1949, they launched an anti-prostitution campaign. However, enforcement of laws has been lacking due to corruption. Additionally, China's one-child policy and gender imbalance have contributed to trafficking of women into China from other countries. While China censors the internet, it is largely to control information rather than curb pornography. Grassroots activism is needed to effectively address these issues.

The Right to Information Act (RTI) was enacted in 2005 to provide citizens access to information held by public authorities and promote transparency. It defines public authorities broadly and mandates that requests be answered within 30 days. Citizens can request information in the form of documents, reports, contracts, and more. The RTI has been very effective in uncovering corruption, though some information like national security and cabinet papers is exempt. It has faced challenges due to attacks on activists exposing wrongdoing. While very impactful, its potential remains underutilized, especially by the media.

"Does Foreign Direct Investment Negatively Affect Preservation of Culture in the Global South? Case Studies in Thailand and Cambodia."
Do elements of globalization, such as Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), negatively affect the ability of countries in the Global South to preserve their culture? This research aims to answer this question by employing a cross-sectional comparative case study analysis utilizing methods of difference. Thailand and Cambodia are compared as they are in the same region and have a similar culture. The metric of difference between Thailand and Cambodia is their ability to preserve their culture. This ability is operationalized by their respective attitudes towards FDI; Thailand imposes stringent regulations and limitations on FDI while Cambodia does not hesitate to accept most FDI and imposes fewer limitations. The evidence from this study suggests that FDI from globally influential countries with high gross domestic products (GDPs) (e.g. China, U.S.) challenges the ability of countries with lower GDPs (e.g. Cambodia) to protect their culture. Furthermore, the ability, or lack thereof, of the receiving countries to protect their culture is amplified by the existence and implementation of restrictive FDI policies imposed by their governments.
My study abroad in Bali, Indonesia, inspired this research topic as I noticed how globalization is changing the culture of its people. I learned their language and way of life which helped me understand the beauty and importance of cultural preservation. I believe we could all benefit from learning new perspectives as they could help us ideate solutions to contemporary issues and empathize with others.

Vicinity Jobs’ data includes more than three million 2023 OJPs and thousands of skills. Most skills appear in less than 0.02% of job postings, so most postings rely on a small subset of commonly used terms, like teamwork.
Laura Adkins-Hackett, Economist, LMIC, and Sukriti Trehan, Data Scientist, LMIC, presented their research exploring trends in the skills listed in OJPs to develop a deeper understanding of in-demand skills. This research project uses pointwise mutual information and other methods to extract more information about common skills from the relationships between skills, occupations and regions.

8. Satire 3
Human
= life + aspiration
There is only a life, ‘aspiration’ - to save life
only.
There is ‘aspiration’ only, life is to enjoy
it.
No-corruption hits him, but imprisonment
may be anytime.
‘No-corruption’ is there, imprisonment
never touch him.
He doesn’t know about laws and corruptions. He knows all about laws and corruptions.

In common sense it is called as “CORRUPTION”
Mainly monetary ‘Corruption’

12. Corruption in education - not only in system, but in curriculums to fulfill ‘aspiration’
*A good business administrator has to manage a target to meet for the company
who pay for luxurious life.
*A good police officer has to maintain ‘Law and order’, peacefulness, and acts
against disturbance. Corruption is a ‘peaceful activity’, not a direct matter of police.
Then self-corruption is not bad.
*An engineer has to develop more modified engine or structure of lesser cost, but
more durable. Lesser cost means better gain that will demand higher salary. Engineer
is a good person.
*An doctor has to save life against money. The doctor, without money is not visible
in this world. In private practice, a doctor receives money without receipt, specially
in Indian subcontinent that is not corruption at all.
* In miscellaneous services, first word is ‘obey your superior’ without right or wrong.
*Lawyer’s curriculum is most interesting- apply best ‘logic’ to save client against
money as per demand. No matter of right or wrong, this is called ‘professionalism’.
*Judges are handicapped in service. They have to measure the parameter of laws,
proofs and documents, witness-sayings, lawyer’s logics etc. They are less human,
more mechanic.

and universities’. –Transparency International

in poorer, less developed countries.’ – article ‘Lobbying, Corruption and Political Influence’ by Nauro F. Campos,
