This document summarizes 17 excuses people use for not accepting Christianity and provides short rebuttals to each one. Some of the main excuses addressed include wanting to focus on business first, not seeing oneself as a sinner, and thinking God would not condemn anyone to hell. The responses argue that salvation through Jesus is needed by all and that delaying acceptance risks eternal damnation. The document aims to convince readers to accept Christianity by preemptively addressing common objections.
Some notes from recent teaching sessions - they are aimed at giving more of a background / preparatory idea about how a person might move into a position to be "anointed" by God.
SHALL NOT BE PUT TO SHAME …….that I am the Lord; for they shall not be put to shame who wait for, look for, hope for, and expect Me.
I will renew my strength and power and mount up with wings as eagles… go close to God and understand His perfect will concerning my situation.

John 15:1-8, Difficult passage, Israel vine, Jesus True Vine; Unbelievers get...Valley Bible Fellowship
John 15:1-8, Possibly one of the most mis-used and abused passages in the Bible; Israel is the unfaithful vine, Jesus is the True Vine; Unbelievers get burned, believers get lifted up and washed to bear more fruit; All Abiders bear fruit; Bema Seat rewards, or Judgment Day
The word ‘grace’ is not always used in the same sense as in the bible. If you look up grace in the dictionary you will see that there are multiple meanings. Divine grace in particular is often misunderstood & misinterpreted by people. This presentation will clarify exactly what God’s grace is and how it is pertinent to our salvation.
While a preacher cannot add to the effectiveness of the Word, the effectiveness of the Word can be hindered by poor preaching or delivery. This is why Homiletics is necessary.

This is a study of Jesus urging us to pray and never give up. He uses a widow who kept coming to a judge for help and she was so persistent he had to give her the justice she sought. God will do the same for us if we never give up but keep on praying.

I hope today’s discussion can clarify this concept and let us know why blasphemy against the Holy Spirit Not only will God not forgive you in this life, but He will not let you off in the new heaven and new earth.

Behold your god 1 what is god really likeloudcryteam
We all have been born into this world with an incorrect understanding of God's character, government and his dealing with the sin problem. This pre-disposition dictates how we worship God, and how we treat our fellow-men. This series of presentations seeks to bring a clearer insight into some of those provoking questions about God's character. Part 1 of 5

As we grow closer to Christ, we will develop a humble response to Truth. Over time we will see God's holiness as much more lofty than when we began. And, as that happens, we will see the ugliness of our sinfulness more and more clearly.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

A Guide To Christian Workers Part 2
1. A Guide To Christian Workers Taken from the Open Bible January 16, 2011
2. V. CONVERSATION Dr. R. G. Lee calls this two way conversation “convincing confutation.” The following are answers to some excuses z Dr. Lee sets them forth.
3. 1. Excuse: “I want to get established in business first. After that I will be a Christian Answer: No business should be allowed to cheat one out of heaven’s blessings. Property should not kill the privilege of being a child of God. “What shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36).God called one man a fool to his face. “But God said to him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?” (Luke 12:20). He was the man who neglected his soul’s welfare by building barns, enlarging crops, and feeding his soul on corn. See also: Matt. 6:33; Psalm 1:1-2; Prov. 29:25; Mark 10:29-30.
4. 2. Excuse: “I am not a sinner.” Answer: But God says, “There is not righteous, no, not one” (Rom. 3:10). “The Scripture hath concluded all under sin” (Gal. 3:22). If you are not a sinner, are you keeping God’s commands? What about Matthew 22:37? “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”
5. 3. “I am good enough as I am.” Answer: God says you are bad enough—by nature. Man in his natural state does wicked deeds, thinks evil thoughts, goes to bad places, rejects Jesus Christ—because he has an evil heart. No one is naturally good. If you are good, why not become acquainted with Jesus, who is supremely good?
6. 4. Excuse: “I am as good as others.” Answer: Violin players do not take their tones from each other, but from the piano. Builders are constantly using the plumb line, the level, and the square. We need to love by standards—not comparisons. Nobody can claim health because he is better than another diabetic or stronger than another cancer victim. Measure yourself by Jesus Christ if you want to know how good or bad you are. Do not be too sure that you are better than many within the church. They have confessed Jesus Christ—as Jesus asked. You have not. Moreover, you are forbidden to judge to justify yourself. You are not saved or lost by the deeds of others.
7. 5. Excuse: “I am doing the best I can.” Answer: How long have you been doing your best? Have you succeeded? How long will it take you to make yourself fit for heaven? Suppose you die now? The best you can do is to acknowledge you cannot do anything to save yourself—except believe.
8. 6. Excuse: “I am too big a sinner.” Answer: Jesus came to save all sinners. “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptations, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief” (I Tim. 1:15). Are you sins scarlet? “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool” (Isa. 1:18). Are you lost? “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10). Are you without strength? “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love towards us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Rom. 5:6-8). Jesus will not cast out anyone who will come to Him (John 6:37). See also Matt. 9:13; Heb. 7:25; Luke 23:39-43.
9. 7. Excuse: “There are too many hypocrites.” Answer: Hypocrites are lost. If you let hypocrites keep you from being saved, you will spend eternity with them. Besides, you have to be smaller than what you hide behind. If you hide behind a hypocrite, you must be smaller than a hypocrite. See also: Zech. 13:6; Acts 1:16; Heb. 12:2; Acts 17:30-31; Rom. 14:12; Matt. 7:1-5; Rom. 2:1-6; 1Sam. 16:7.
10. 8. Excuse: “A professing Christian wronged me.” Answer: Granted. But is that any reason why you should wrong God and insult Christ, who loved you and gave Himself for you? “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son of God shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him” (John3:36).
11. 9. Excuse: “There is too much to give up.” Answer: Better give up everything than lose the soul. Put Christ and your soul ahead of all else. Is it too much to give up paste pearls for glittering gems? Dirt for diamonds? Is it too much to give up rags for riches? See Psalms 84:11; Prov. 3:17; Matt. 11:30; Prov. 13:15; Isa. 57:21; Rom. 8:32; Mark 8:36-37; Luke 18:29-30; Psalms 16:11.
12. 10. Excuse: “I cannot understand.” Answer: Why let mystery cause you to refuse the Master? Do you understand the chemistry of digestion? Does your ignorance of it keep you from eating steak? Can you understand why the same sun and the same soil and the same rain get sweetness into the orange and sourness into the lemon and bitterness into the persimmon? Lay aise your excuse of mystery and trust God as you trust the telephone to transmit your voice. See Rom. 11:33; 1Cor. 1:8; 1Cor. 2:14.
13. 11. Excuse: “God is unjust.” Answer: Who is God? Who are you? Injustice is sin. Do you mean to accuse God of sin? God is just that He never demands two payments for one debt. Jesus paid your sin debt on the Cross—all of it. Therefore, when you accept Christ, you do not have the sin debt to pay.
14. 12. Excuse: “Not now.” Answer: Every time you say no, it is more difficult to say yes. The time and day is now. “Behold now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Cor. 6:2). Seek the Lord while He may be found. Delay is decision for the wrong way. “Today—if you will,” saith the Lord. Tomorrow is the day when the idle man works, the thief becomes honest, the drunkard sober. Tomorrow is a period nowhere to be found except, perhaps, in the fool’s calendar. God’s call is not a call for tomorrow, but for today. Dr. Lee says of the above, “In this manner do deal with excuse-makers. With many excuses I have had success. With some, I have not.” See Prov. 27:1; Prov. 29:1; Isa. 55:6; Heb. 2:3.
15. 13. Excuse: “I think you are making too big a fuss about this.” Answer: Why is Calvary such a big date in history? “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Rom. 5:8). Isn’t your soul important? “For what is man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Matt. 16:26). Isn’t life uncertain? “This night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?” (Luke 12:20). Death, judgment, and hell lie ahead (Gal. 6:7; Heb. 9:27). The Son of God asks for your decision (Rev. 3:20).
16. 14. Excuse: “I believe God is too good to damn anyone.” Answer: That is not what the Bible says, “Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish” (Psalms 1:5-6). God places your salvation or damnation of your acceptance or rejection of Christ (John 12:48). It is not God that is hard. It is you! “But after thy hardness and impenitent heart, treasurest up into thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God (Rom. 2:5). Every agency of God seeks to lead you to repentance (2Pet. 3:9).
17. 15. Excuse: “How can I reconcile the doctrine of hell with the Christian’s God of salvation?” Answer: “Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels” (Matt. 25:41). “Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place” (Acts 1:25). “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2Pet. 3:9). “Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? Saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?” (Ezek. 18:23).
18. 15. Excuse: “How can I reconcile the doctrine of hell with the Christian’s God of salvation?” Answer continued: “Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivest thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented” (Luke 16:25). “And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal” (Matt. 25:46). “Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can you escape the damnation of hell?” (Matt. 23:33).
19. 15. Excuse: “How can I reconcile the doctrine of hell with the Christian’s God of salvation?” Answer continued: “But rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matt. 10:28). “Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. And the mean man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled: but the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness” (Isaiah 5:14-16).
20. 16. Excuse: “I am religious.” Answer: Religion is often something that is on the outside. “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast our devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” (Matt. 7:22-23).
21. 17. Excuse: “I am trying to be a Christian.” Answer: It is not trying it is trusting that counts. A drowning man tries with all his might and perishes, but trusts in the saving power of another and is rescued, “Behold, God is my salvation; and I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation” (Isaiah 12:2). “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Eph 2:8-9).
22. 17. Excuse: “I am trying to be a Christian.” Answer: “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away” (Isa 64:6). “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all” (James 2:10).
