2. The U.S. is one of the top five mission fields in the world.

3. The population of Christians in the U.S. has not grown in the past 10 years despite a 22,000,000 population increase since 2000.

4. California is the most populous state in the U.S. with 12% of the national population.

5. California is expected to have 15% of the national population by the year 2025.

6. By 2020 the Central Valley of California will have over 6 million people.

7. … and outnumber 33 U.S. states in population!

8. Merced sits in the middle of the California Central Valley.

9. The median age of Mercedians is 27.8 years.

10. City population is 80,000, and Merced County has over 250,000 people.

11. Merced is home to a new University of California, opening its doors in Fall 2005.

12. UC Merced will have 25,000 students when it is completely built out.

13. LifeSpring Church began meeting in September 2006.

14. LifeSpring’s “target” is people age 20-39 or people not currently attending church.
