FIELDS OF BOAZ
Sowing hope, one student at a time
Our Mission Statement
Fields of Boaz is an inter-denominational Christian ministry
dedicated to raising up young people in developing countries as
powerful catalysts for good in their communities and living
testaments to the love of Christ.
We are currently at work in
Nayarit, MX.
Tepic (The capital)
Ruiz
El Vado de San Pedro
Juan Escutia
Villa Juarez
We began by bringing backpacks full of school supplies to
primary school children, and helping with uniforms. However,
the greater problem lies with older students that can’t finish
their education, so we shifted our focus in that direction.
Let me explain...
The Problem
Only Primary School is
mandatory in Mexico
Government financial aid is
only available to primary
school students.
Parents must pay for Jr. High
and High School and many,
especially the indigenous
families, cannot afford the
expense .
Simple Math
An average person earns a
little under $12 dollars a day at
what we would call a minimum
wage job.
High School tuition alone costs
$50 per semester.
Many jobs are seasonal and
unstable.
Most have more than one child
in the family.
As a Result...
As a result, teenage boys are easily recruited by the
drug cartels or leave to work in the United States.
Most girls drop out either at the end of Primary
School or at the end of Jr. High and perpetuate the
cycle of poverty.
Indigenous tribes have very few educated young
people that can serve them in the professions.
We desire to bring hope to communities riddled with
fear and violence ,...
to encourage the development of
entrepreneurial skills,...
to provide alternative ways to support
themselves and their families,...
...and to provide much needed professionals from
within the indigenous communities themselves who
speak their language and understand their culture.

ANYONE CAN
HELP
A single person setting
aside only $.60 a day for
one month ($50) or $12.50
for 4 weeks
can pay for a student’s High
School tuition for a full
semester!
Through assisting with
education...
We share the love of Christ
with...
• Students
• Their families
• Schools
• Their faculty
Many ask, “Why should we care
about Mexico?”
Because Jesus does.
