The Church of Saint Gabriel hired IT Initiatives to design and implement integrated audio/video solutions for its new parish center. IT Initiatives developed solutions including a multimedia conference room with multiple displays and a touchscreen control system, a classroom video broadcasting system to distribute content to 30 classrooms, and a digital signage system using a plasma monitor. The design methodology ensured solutions would have long lifecycles and be architecturally integrated and easy for everyday parishioners to use. The conference room was equipped with several high-definition displays, a projector, and a custom touchscreen interface to easily control video and audio playback from multiple sources.

Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

1. Integrated Solution Profile
Client:
Church of Saint Gabriel
Marlboro, NJ
The Client
The Church of Saint Gabriel called upon IT Initiatives to design,
manage and deploy the technological aspects of their multi-million
dollar parish center addition and renovation project. Recognizing
the affectiveness and multitude of applications for audio/video tech-
nologies, St. Gabriel’s looked to IT Initiatives to develop integrated
solutions for their new facility.
Design Methodology
IT Initiatives developed a series of audio/video solutions
to meet the needs of the growing parish. These included:
Multimedia Conference Room
Classroom Video Broadcast System
Electronic Message Display System
The design methology used for this project was based on
the client’s need for a solution that would have an extended
product life cycle. Architectural integration was also a key
attribute for success.
Ease of use for everyday applications was vital, as
parishioners not likely to be familiar with the system would
be using it on a daily basis.
Parish Center Multimedia Conference Room
The parish conference room was designed to be an integrated, easy to
use solution. Boasting 2 high-definition plasma monitors and a high-
end projector, the system would allow the organization to output a
different video source to each of the three monitors.
A custom, graphical user interface was installed to control the video and
audio systems. Using a color, touchscreen interface, controlling the system
was quick and easy, while providing countless features and capabilities.
Users could select to output from DVD, VHS, computer, notebook PC,
or satellite television to each of the monitors. The color control screen
also allowed the user to change channels on the satellite system or preview
video before output to a monitor or projector.

In an effort to effectively distribute video to each of the 30 classrooms in the new
parish center, IT Initiatives recommended a video distribution system that would
allow religious education administrators to output controlled video. This feature
outputted DVD, VHS, computer and satellite audio and video to each of the
classrooms. User control was administrated via a simple to use interface via a
computer network. Televisions were able to be turned on, off, and volume
controlled easily from the software control interface.
