Advanced control foundation tools and techniquesEmerson Exchange
A new book on advanced control fundamental will be published by ISA in September, 2012. This book addresses all the advanced control products that are included in the DeltaV control system or are planned for a future DeltaV release. In this session two of the authors present and discuss key areas addressed in the book and demonstrate web site that accompanies the book.
In software engineering, software configuration management (SCM or S/W CM) is the task of tracking and controlling changes in the software, part of the larger cross-disciplinary field of configuration management. SCM practices include revision control and the establishment of baselines.
This Presentation explains the SCM Process.
In this session we heard customer experiences facing some of the biggest DR challenges ever. We heard how Site Recovery Manager was used in Japan after the great earthquake disaster and in New Zealand after the earthquake at Christchurch. We also learned about a case in which Site Recovery Manager was used for site migration.

WebSphere Technical University: Top WebSphere Problem Determination FeaturesChris Bailey
Problem determination is an important focus area in the IBM WebSphere Application Server. Serviceability improvements have been added that have greatly improved the ability to find root causes of problems in both the full IBM WebSphere Application Server profile, and the newer Liberty profile. The session focuses on how to effectively use serviceability improvements added to the application server since V8.0. This includes high performance extensibe logging, cross-component trace, IBM Support Assistant data collector, timed operations, memory leak detection/prevention, and IBM Support Assistant 5.
Presented at the WebSphere Technical University 2014, Dusseldorf
Pivotal Cloud Foundry 2.6: A First LookVMware Tanzu
Join Dan Baskette and Jared Ruckle for a view into Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) 2.6 capabilities with demos and expert Q&A. We’ll review the latest features for Pivotal’s flagship app platform, including:
CUSTOM SIDECAR PROCESSES (BETA)
In Pivotal Application ServiceⓇ 2.6 (PAS), developers can run custom sidecar processes in the same container as their application. This simplifies development for all kinds of “wire” use cases, including proxy forwarding, client-side load balancing, timeouts, and retries.
MULTI-CLOUD CONTINUOUS DELIVERY WITH SPINNAKER
PCF now integrates nicely with the most popular CD tool, Spinnaker. Spinnaker 1.14 now supports several advanced CD scenarios with PCF. As a result, large development teams can more easily deploy to production to improve outcomes. Use Spinnaker with PAS as well as Enterprise PKSⓇ. (This integration is backed by community support.)
NEW PERMISSIONS MODEL IN CONCOURSE FOR PCF (coming soon) Concourse for PCF 5.2 will include a powerful new permissions model to better segment access to build pipelines. The new release will add compatibility with CredHub for secrets management as well.
MULTI-DATACENTER REPLICATION CAPABILITIES FOR MySQL (coming soon) MySQL for PCF 2.7 will add multi-DC replication capabilities as a beta feature. This will offer more stability and scalability for your database apps.
Plus much more!
