If Two Vowels Appear Next To Each Other In One Syllable, The Second
Vowel Is Silent. The First Vowel Is Pronounced As A Long Vowel (CVVC)

However, you have to be careful
with this one…because when
you start mixing vowels they can
produce other sounds.
