Mr. Greene welcomes students to 6th grade math and encourages them to work hard and learn new exciting material like percentages, expressions, equations, and fractions and decimals. He provides a math packet for students and parents to answer questions to assess how prepared students are for 6th grade math. Mr. Greene also lists online math resources like Khan Academy, Learnzillion, Kuta software, YouTube and Google that can be used over the summer to practice skills.

Welcome to 6th
gradeMath! My name is Mr. Greene, some of you may know me
so of you may not. Be ready to work hard, learn a lot of new fun and exciting
material, have some fun with projects and presentations, and enter a world of
mathematics like you have never seen before. There is no better time than the
summer to brush up on all the important skills you learned during 5th
grade. 6th
grade is an exciting year as you will be learning a lot of new material such as
percent’s, expressions, equations, and lots of fractions and decimals.
Please do the best you can to answer the following questions in this math packet.
Parents and students these questions will be a very good indication of how your
child will do in the 6th
grade. This will be collected, graded and reviewed during
