This document presents information about carbon nanotubes (CNTs), including their structure, synthesis methods, properties, applications, and limitations. CNTs have a cylindrical nanostructure composed of rolled graphene sheets. There are two main types: single-walled nanotubes and multi-walled nanotubes. Common synthesis techniques are arc discharge, laser ablation, and chemical vapor deposition. CNTs exhibit excellent mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties. Potential applications include electronics, energy storage, and sporting goods. However, large-scale production of high-quality CNTs remains challenging.
