In 1878, a hydroelectric power station was designed and built by William, Lord Armstrong at Cragside, England. It used water from lakes on his estate to power Siemens dynamos. The electricity supplied power to lights, heating, produced hot water, ran an elevator as well as labor-saving devices and farm buildings.[2]
In January 1882 the world's first public coal-fired power station, the Edison Electric Light Station, was built in London, a project of Thomas Edison organized by Edward Johnson. A Babcock & Wilcox boiler powered a 93 kW (125 horsepower) steam engine that drove a 27-tonne (27-long-ton) generator. This supplied electricity to premises in the area that could be reached through the culverts of the viaduct without digging up the road, which was the monopoly of the gas companies. The customers included the City Temple and the Old Bailey. Another important customer was the Telegraph Office of the General Post Office, but this could not be reached through the culverts. Johnson arranged for the supply cable to be run overhead, via Holborn Tavern and Newgate.[3]
In September 1882 in New York, the Pearl Street Station was established by Edison to provide electric lighting in the lower Manhattan Island area. The station ran until destroyed by fire in 1890. The station used reciprocating steam engines to turn direct-current generators. Because of the DC distribution, the service area was small, limited by voltage drop in the feeders. In 1886 George Westinghouse began building an alternating current system that used a transformer to step up voltage for long-distance transmission and then stepped it back down for indoor lighting, a more efficient and less expensive system which is similar to modern systems. The war of the currents eventually resolved in favor of AC distribution and utilization, although some DC systems persisted to the end of the 20th century. Abstract
Inverters are devices which can convert electrical energy form DC to AC. They are available in various sizes and in different VA ratings, from low power functions such as powering a car radio to that of backing up a building in case of power outage. In this work an attempt has been made in designing a low cost, low Power Inverter using Electronic Choke Controlled by Timer Circuit. This gives the backup during power failure and also provides a sophisticated user access. The purpose of this DC/AC inverter is typically to take DC power supplied by a battery, to light a fluorescent lamp of 50 watts operating at 50 Hz, emulating the power available at an ordinary household electrical outlet. By suitably adjusting the timer control parameters, user can turn ON/OFF of lamp automatically. The timer management is very essential for any organization or institution. Most of them usually divide the functional day into segments of working hours and other activities. In educational institutions the working hours are again divided into periods. Most of them use alarms to indicate the beginning or the end of a time segment. This is a repeating process and may rarely change day to day, so it justifies that this process could be automated.

They are available in various sizes and in different VA ratings, from low power functions such as powering a car radio to that of backing up a building in case of power outage. In this work an attempt has been made in designing a low cost, low Power Inverter using Electronic Choke Controlled by Timer Circuit. This gives the backup during power failure and also provides a sophisticated user access. The purpose of this DC/AC inverter is typically to take DC power supplied by a battery, to light a fluorescent lamp of 50 watts operating at 50 Hz, emulating the power available at an ordinary household electrical outlet. By suitably adjusting the timer control parameters, user can turn ON/OFF of lamp automatically. The timer management is very essential for any organization or institution. Most of them usually divide the functional day into segments of working hours and other activities. In educational institutions the working hours are again divided into periods. Most of them use alarms to indicate the beginning or the end of a time segment. This is a repeating process and may rarely change day to day, so it justifies that this process could be automated.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

- 1. 638nm Red Lab Laser System CW/TTL/Analog It's a 638nm 15W semiconductor laser system. 15W laser is high power, we have equipped a radiator in the laser head. The radiator at the bottom of the laser head has 3 cooling fans, which can effectively extend the continuous working time of the high-power laser. The CW/TTL/Analog on the back of the power supply has 3 switchable working modes. CW is continuous working mode. In TTL/Analog modulation mode, 1~30KHz, 0~5V signal should be connected to the 'Mod Input' BNC interface. There is a small power interface on the side of the data cable close to the laser head for the cooling fan. In addition, the Lock crystal head cannot be pulled out. - 2. This is a power adjustable laser by adjusting the current. To adjust the working current, turn the 'Adjustor' knob clockwise, when the current exceeds the minimum working current, the Laser indicator turns green, and there is laser output at this time. 'Adjustor' rotates clockwise to the end, which is the max working current and the maximum output power of the laser. In addition, the red 'STOP' button is used for emergency stop, and it is not needed under normal circumstances.
- 4. This is the free space output mode, customizable for fiber coupling.
