CCAFS | CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security

The document discusses recommendations for advancing the Fifty States Initiative. It recommends that the Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) create standardized measures to track progress of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI), develop a best practices library of case studies, shift the focus of CAP grants from strategic planning to business planning and implementation, expand CAP grants to local governments, better align the grant process with other federal programs, and continue communications and marketing efforts.
