Businesses make critical decisions using key data assets, but stakeholders often find it difficult to navigate the complex data landscape to ensure they have the right data and understand it correctly. Unlock the Power of Mainframe Data for Democratized Cloud AnalyticsPrecisely
The rapid rate at which new technologies for cloud-based computing are being developed and deployed – like big data analytics, the Internet of Things, machine learning and artificial intelligence - is truly astonishing. Looking further out into the future, the accelerating scale and speed of such advancements is compelling organizations to migrate the majority of their data and infrastructure to the cloud. Even the Mainframe.
It’s not that mainframe computing systems are going away any time soon. In fact, mainframe platforms are just as essential today for running global, enterprise-scale businesses as they have ever been. And despite years of pundits advocating otherwise, actually migrating off mainframe and onto cloud platforms has very rarely proven to be worth the cost and business risk involved.
But for today’s IT leaders tasked with moving enterprise IT operations forward to that integrated, future-proof, and democratized future, there is no avoiding making these changes while still running an efficient business. Organizations are turning to Precisely to help them maintain current operations while bringing their mainframe data to the cloud.
During this session we discuss:
Why it's imperative for IT leaders to unlock access to mainframe data in a cloud-first worldThe challenges and complexities of democratizing data with mainframe systemsHow to successfully integrate mainframe data into cloud-based environments

How to Begin Making “Data-Driven Decisions" Using Data IntegrationSafe Software
If you’re in the corporate world, chances are you’ve heard this phrase in the last year: “we need to make data-driven decisions.” It’s a simple phrase but often complicated to implement as it involves identifying KPIs, collecting the measurable data, analyzing the data for facts, and turning the insights into actions that will grow your business.
So how exactly do you start the process of “data-driven decisions” when there is data everywhere – data of all different kinds and in all different locations? The task can sound downright daunting or even impossible.
Our ability to freely share and use data is too often plagued with interoperability challenges. Data integration is the key to alleviating this problem. Put simply, data integration helps different systems and formats work together. The ultimate goal is to generate valuable and usable information to help solve problems and gain new insights, a.k.a. data-driven decisions!
In this webinar, learn how data integration can be used in any and all industries. And see how the workflows increase communication between departments, provide better customer service, streamline operations, improve decision making, and overall increase productivity.

zkStudyClub - Reef: Fast Succinct Non-Interactive Zero-Knowledge Regex ProofsAlex Pruden
This paper presents Reef, a system for generating publicly verifiable succinct non-interactive zero-knowledge proofs that a committed document matches or does not match a regular expression. We describe applications such as proving the strength of passwords, the provenance of email despite redactions, the validity of oblivious DNS queries, and the existence of mutations in DNA. Reef supports the Perl Compatible Regular Expression syntax, including wildcards, alternation, ranges, capture groups, Kleene star, negations, and lookarounds. Reef introduces a new type of automata, Skipping Alternating Finite Automata (SAFA), that skips irrelevant parts of a document when producing proofs without undermining soundness, and instantiates SAFA with a lookup argument. Our experimental evaluation confirms that Reef can generate proofs for documents with 32M characters; the proofs are small and cheap to verify (under a second).

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

3. Big data projects are complex with numerous
moving parts that impact whether a big data
project is successful or not. If your big data
project currently isn’t up to par, consider
these 5 factors.
4. STOP MOVING YOUR DATA
Transferring data to a new database, new cloud
platform, or new subscription within the cloud
creates an extra step in an already complex process.
6. SCALABILITY (OR LACK OF IT)
Data sets grow quickly and unexpectedly, and the
infrastructure behind it needs to be able to grow
with it.
7. WRONG DATA FOCUS
Even with every other factor fully optimized,
focusing on the wrong data leads to dead ends and
a team that is swamped with irrelevant information.
