What is

“Crowdfunding”
www.onlinesensor.com www.5dollargem.com
By definition, crowdfunding is the process of funding a project or
a cause by raising small amounts from a large number of people
Its like raising funds by asking a large number of people for a small
amount of money. Until recently, financing a business, project or
venture involved asking a small number of people for large sums
of money!
Businesses, nonprofit organizations, and individuals all over the
world now use popular platforms like Kickstarter, IndieGogo and
GoFundMe (and of course OnlineSensor very soon) to jumpstart
new ventures, raise funds for personal purposes, solicit charitable
donations, and pursue their passion.
Usually carried out online, it has become an innovative way to
fundraise by harnessing the power of peer-to-peer relationships
and social media.
The Benefits of
“ Crowd-Funding ”
www.onlinesensor.com www.5dollargem.com
• It can help you raise quick money for your project without any
upfront fees
• It makes you do the homework! You will most likely make a
professional looking product launch
• Provides you valuable market research and feedback on your
product/idea when you pitch to a large number of people
• Someone who might not contribute towards your idea might
still become your loyal customer after listening to your pitch.
• Ideas which might not look too conventional gets financed
faster while the banks may not be too keen to fund them.
• It’s a good way to test the public’s first reaction to your
product and then improve your product
• For social causes, this proves to be the best way to get the
funds for the end results without too many hurdles in between
Trend Analysis

“Crowdfunding Will Surpass
VC in 2016”
www.onlinesensor.com www.5dollargem.com
• By 2016 the crowdfunding industry is on track to account for
more funding than venture capitalists, according to a recent
report by Massolution.
• Just five years ago this was a relatively small market of early
adopters, crowdfunding online to the tune of a reported $880
million in 2010.
• Fast forward to today and we saw $16 billion crowd funded in
2014, and almost $40 billion in 2015.
• In comparison, the VC industry invests an average of $30
billion each year.
• Meanwhile, the crowdfunding industry is doubling or more,
every year, and is spread across several types of funding
models including rewards, donation, equity, and debt/
lending.
WHY

THE

“Crowd” “Funds”
www.onlinesensor.com www.5dollargem.com
Crowd (People) fund various projects/campaigns for various
reasons. Listed below are few of these reasons:
• Charity: Some people fund towards charitable causes and
feel that they have contributed towards social causes
• Rewards: Some contribute looking at the rewards on offer, in
return of their contributions
• To try New Products: Some people contribute to try new and
exciting products/innovations which appeal to them
• Be a part of something exciting: Some people contribute to
be a part of an awesome idea which they feel will become
successful soon!
• Some people contribute for some projects to help their friend/
network realize his/her dreams.
Most Famous Crowd
Funding Campaigns

www.onlinesensor.com www.5dollargem.com
- Donation Model

- Reward Model

- Equity Model

- Lending Model
www.onlinesensor.com www.5dollargem.com
• Donation Model: In this model, people donate for charitable
causes without any expectation of anything in return.
• Reward Based CrowdFunding: People generally donate in
reward based campaigns looking at the rewards which are
on offer in return of their contribution. New businesses
sometime offer some services or products in return.
• Equity Model: People contribute small amounts for funding
businesses which might offer them some monetary returns or a
small shareholding in the business.
• Lending/Debt Model: This is similar to equity based however
the monetary returns are generally low and fixed.

GoFundMe
GoFundMe works majorly on a Donation Based Model

GoFundMe allows users to create their own website to
describe what they are raising money for

Once the website is created, GoFundMe allows users to
share their project with people through integrated social
network links (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and email

GoFundMe generates revenue by automatically deducting
a 5% fee from each donation users receive. If the user
receives no donations, then no charges are levied.

www.onlinesensor.com www.5dollargem.com
KICKSTARTER
Kickstarter focuses on projects which circumvents traditional
avenues of investment. Project creators choose a deadline
and a minimum funding goal. If the goal is not met by the
deadline, no funds are collected.
Kickstarter applies a 5% fee on the total amount of the funds
raised. Their payments processor applies an additional 3–5%
fee.
So far over $3 Million have been pledged to 108,198
successful KickStarter projects by over 10 Million backers out
of which over 2 Million are repeat backers!

IndieGogo
Anyone can use IndieGogo to raise funds for any idea or
project, which are mainly categorised into three areas:
creative, cause-related and entrepreneurial campaigns.
Its free to post your projects and offers both flexible and
fixed fund raising options.
For fixed, IndieGogo takes a 5% fee of the money raised, but
only if the goal is reached. No fees are charged if the
funding goal is not met. For flexible, it charges a 5% fee if the
goal is reached. If the goal is not met, IndieGogo charges
9%, but the campaign owner keeps what they’ve raised.
(3-5% + 30c third-party credit card fees are extra)

Welcome to

“ OnlineSensor ”
www.onlinesensor.com www.5dollargem.com
OnlineSensor
Its works exactly the same like the other major platforms and in
fact, offers additional exciting features too!
Each project creator sets up a page to address the “who, what,
where, when and why”.Users are encouraged to add video, a
personal storyline, plus perks for backers to make the campaign
compelling and to share the campaign on FaceBook. Twitter etc
Its free to post projects on OnlineSensor and both fixed as well as
flexible options are available. In the fixed option OS charges 10%
plus 5% third party payment gateway fees but there are no
withdrawal charges. No charges are levied if the goals are not
met.
Charges in the flexible option are also the same.
What’s New and
Unique
www.onlinesensor.com www.5dollargem.com
“ 5Dollargem ”
Though we work the same way as the other crowd funding
platforms, we have also introduced a few innovative features
which makes us more complete and diversified than the existing
platforms.
With the birth of 5DollarGem we have 4 ways of fund raising
unlike most of the platforms which offer 1 or a maximum of two
ways of raising funds. Lets have a look:
1. Flexible Amounts Fundraising
2. Fixed Amounts - Donation Based CrowdFunding
3. Fixed Amounts - Reward Based CrowdFunding
4. Accelerated Crowd Funding (ACF)
a. Basic ACF
b. Standard ACF
c. Premium ACF
1) Flexible Amounts
Fundraising
www.onlinesensor.com www.5dollargem.com
“ 5Dollargem ”
Flexible Amounts Fundraising
This works exactly the same as GoFundMe, KickStarter or any
other crowd funding platform.
Backers contribute towards the projects/campaigns they like and
they can chose any amount of their choice be it $5, $500 or
whatever.
Backers do not need to sign up to contribute towards a project.
They can pay online using the company’s secured payment
gateways.
2) Fixed Amounts
Fundraising – Donation
Based
www.onlinesensor.com www.5dollargem.com
“ 5Dollargem ”
Donation Based Fixed Amounts Fundraising
In this method the Basic contribution starts at $5. If a backer
contributes $5, he/she becomes eligible to receive $5 for his own
project also, from unlimited number of people.
Standard Contribution is $50. If a backer contributes $50, he/she
becomes eligible to receive $50 for his own project also, from
unlimited number of people.
Premium Contribution is $100. If a backer contributes $100, he/she
becomes eligible to receive $100 for his own project also from
unlimited number of people.
Whatever funds are raised by you are completely yours as in any
other crowd funding platform.
3) Fixed Amounts
Fundraising – Reward
Based
www.onlinesensor.com www.5dollargem.com
“ 5Dollargem ”
Reward Based Fixed Amounts Fundraising
In the reward based method, you can offer a whole lot of
services and products to your audience in return of their
contribution. NO monetary returns are offered however.
In this method the Basic contribution starts at $15, Standard
Contribution is $150 and Premium Contribution is $300.
In this, the company uses 2/3rd of the amount raised, to offer
various products and services on behalf of the campaign creator
and the remaining 1/3rd amount goes to the campaign creator’s
project.
“This innovative donation plus rewards based method makes your
project/campaign more compelling and helps you raise more
funds”
4) Accelerated Fund
Raising (ACF)
www.onlinesensor.com www.5dollargem.com
“ 5Dollargem ”
Accelerated Crowd Funding (ACF)
Accelerated Crowd Funding (ACF) is an innovative way of
increasing your crowd funding volume through a community-
sharing model where you do not just fund a project of one person
(your introducer) but also the projects of many others in that
community and others do the same as well.
In Accelerated Crowd Funding (ACF) you work in a pre-designed
formula with pre-designed donation amount denominations of
$5, $50 or $100 and likewise, though in our regular crowd funding
there is no restriction on the donation amount denominations.
ACF can be further divided into 3 parts
1)ACF Basic 2)ACF Standard 3)ACF Premium

be assigned by the system automatically as the community grows.
Out of the $12, $2 goes towards company’s charges and remaining
$10 gets credited to the project.

  • 2. What is
“Crowdfunding” www.onlinesensor.com www.5dollargem.com By definition, crowdfunding is the process of funding a project or a cause by raising small amounts from a large number of people Its like raising funds by asking a large number of people for a small amount of money. Until recently, financing a business, project or venture involved asking a small number of people for large sums of money! Businesses, nonprofit organizations, and individuals all over the world now use popular platforms like Kickstarter, IndieGogo and GoFundMe (and of course OnlineSensor very soon) to jumpstart new ventures, raise funds for personal purposes, solicit charitable donations, and pursue their passion. Usually carried out online, it has become an innovative way to fundraise by harnessing the power of peer-to-peer relationships and social media.
  • 3. The Benefits of “ Crowd-Funding ” www.onlinesensor.com www.5dollargem.com • It can help you raise quick money for your project without any upfront fees • It makes you do the homework! You will most likely make a professional looking product launch • Provides you valuable market research and feedback on your product/idea when you pitch to a large number of people • Someone who might not contribute towards your idea might still become your loyal customer after listening to your pitch. • Ideas which might not look too conventional gets financed faster while the banks may not be too keen to fund them. • It’s a good way to test the public’s first reaction to your product and then improve your product • For social causes, this proves to be the best way to get the funds for the end results without too many hurdles in between
  • 4. Trend Analysis

“Crowdfunding Will Surpass VC in 2016” www.onlinesensor.com www.5dollargem.com • By 2016 the crowdfunding industry is on track to account for more funding than venture capitalists, according to a recent report by Massolution. • Just five years ago this was a relatively small market of early adopters, crowdfunding online to the tune of a reported $880 million in 2010. • Fast forward to today and we saw $16 billion crowd funded in 2014, and almost $40 billion in 2015. • In comparison, the VC industry invests an average of $30 billion each year. • Meanwhile, the crowdfunding industry is doubling or more, every year, and is spread across several types of funding models including rewards, donation, equity, and debt/ lending.
  • 5. WHY
 THE
“Crowd” “Funds” www.onlinesensor.com www.5dollargem.com Crowd (People) fund various projects/campaigns for various reasons. Listed below are few of these reasons: • Charity: Some people fund towards charitable causes and feel that they have contributed towards social causes • Rewards: Some contribute looking at the rewards on offer, in return of their contributions • To try New Products: Some people contribute to try new and exciting products/innovations which appeal to them • Be a part of something exciting: Some people contribute to be a part of an awesome idea which they feel will become successful soon! • Some people contribute for some projects to help their friend/ network realize his/her dreams.

If the user receives no donations, then no charges are levied.

  • 12. What’s New and Unique www.onlinesensor.com www.5dollargem.com “ 5Dollargem ” Though we work the same way as the other crowd funding platforms, we have also introduced a few innovative features which makes us more complete and diversified than the existing platforms. With the birth of 5DollarGem we have 4 ways of fund raising unlike most of the platforms which offer 1 or a maximum of two ways of raising funds. Lets have a look: 1. Flexible Amounts Fundraising 2. Fixed Amounts - Donation Based CrowdFunding 3. Fixed Amounts - Reward Based CrowdFunding 4. Accelerated Crowd Funding (ACF) a. Basic ACF b. Standard ACF c. Premium ACF
  • 13. 1) Flexible Amounts Fundraising www.onlinesensor.com www.5dollargem.com “ 5Dollargem ” Flexible Amounts Fundraising This works exactly the same as GoFundMe, KickStarter or any other crowd funding platform. Backers contribute towards the projects/campaigns they like and they can chose any amount of their choice be it $5, $500 or whatever. Backers do not need to sign up to contribute towards a project. They can pay online using the company’s secured payment gateways.
  • 14. 2) Fixed Amounts Fundraising – Donation Based www.onlinesensor.com www.5dollargem.com “ 5Dollargem ” Donation Based Fixed Amounts Fundraising In this method the Basic contribution starts at $5. If a backer contributes $5, he/she becomes eligible to receive $5 for his own project also, from unlimited number of people. Standard Contribution is $50. If a backer contributes $50, he/she becomes eligible to receive $50 for his own project also, from unlimited number of people. Premium Contribution is $100. If a backer contributes $100, he/she becomes eligible to receive $100 for his own project also from unlimited number of people. Whatever funds are raised by you are completely yours as in any other crowd funding platform.
  • 15. 3) Fixed Amounts Fundraising – Reward Based www.onlinesensor.com www.5dollargem.com “ 5Dollargem ” Reward Based Fixed Amounts Fundraising In the reward based method, you can offer a whole lot of services and products to your audience in return of their contribution. NO monetary returns are offered however. In this method the Basic contribution starts at $15, Standard Contribution is $150 and Premium Contribution is $300. In this, the company uses 2/3rd of the amount raised, to offer various products and services on behalf of the campaign creator and the remaining 1/3rd amount goes to the campaign creator’s project. “This innovative donation plus rewards based method makes your project/campaign more compelling and helps you raise more funds”
  • 16. 4) Accelerated Fund Raising (ACF) www.onlinesensor.com www.5dollargem.com “ 5Dollargem ” Accelerated Crowd Funding (ACF) Accelerated Crowd Funding (ACF) is an innovative way of increasing your crowd funding volume through a community- sharing model where you do not just fund a project of one person (your introducer) but also the projects of many others in that community and others do the same as well. In Accelerated Crowd Funding (ACF) you work in a pre-designed formula with pre-designed donation amount denominations of $5, $50 or $100 and likewise, though in our regular crowd funding there is no restriction on the donation amount denominations. ACF can be further divided into 3 parts 1)ACF Basic 2)ACF Standard 3)ACF Premium
