A Study on usability of mobile games using color theoryWooseok Jeon
This research is done to verify the concept of mobile game with color theory such as the color, brightness, and color mixing as a game
rule and to find out the problems related to it when used. The research was done by observing and interviewing about understanding the
concepts of the games, user experience and feedback of each game, based on Contextual inquiry interview method. The findings are
difficulties of recognizing high brightness of color, problems related to the feedback of color theory, and inconsistency of GUI. In order to
solve these problems, it should be ensured with using middle level brightness of colors, choosing the proper color positions in the color
wheel, clear feedbacks, visual design that motivate, and sufficient game guide instructions. When these factors are considered, more
positive effect such as the interest of the game, learnability of the color theory will be expected.
