 The Yokuts are in the South-west part of
California.
 Their climate is dry, either hot or cold.
 They had tons of oak trees, trees are very
important to the Yokuts.
 They ate acorns, seeds, roots, birds, and
fish.
 The men hunted for animals and birds. The
women used stone tools to remove the shells
of the acorns.
 Some Yokuts built round houses and others
made cone-shaped houses.
 The men made frames out of willow poles
and hanged them on the walls of their house.
The women wove mats to cover the floors of
their house.
 There was lots of oak wood, water, and
stone.
