This exercise will introduce you to the basic building blocks of any database – fields, records, and files (also called tables). Although you will create a database with a single table containing a small amount of data about computer component suppliers, the more applicable use of databases involves the creation of many tables linked together with a common field or “key.” Regardless of the size of the database, the data is stored in the same way – in fields which are combined to create a record. And those records are stored in a file or table. The data is entered into the field via a data entry form, and the information is extracted (to answer a particular question or need) via reports and/or queries.
Specific instructions for the project can be found in the table below.

Your Database must have all these tables, forms, queries, and reports. Please follow the naming convention as shown below. A template ACCESS database is given to you with customers, staffs, and products tables already created and populated. Your Job is to create:

2. 4 forms: Customer Details, Product Details, Sales Order Details, Staff Details. An additional Sales Order Details form if you want Extra Credit.

In this phase, you will create tables based upon the ERD and SQL code below. You will then populate each table with the data presented below. Finally, you will create queries that will be used to support reports for Accounting and Management. You will not actually create the reports in a GUI environment– only the queries that will serve as the basis for the reports. Screenshots are required for a grade to be given. One screenshot is not the idea; however, multiple screenshots along the way is the goal.
