INOTAXA provides a simple search and browse facility for taxonomic literature. It currently contains around 900 pages of legacy and recent literature, with plans to develop an additional 50,000 treatments. The document discusses work with the ViBRANT project to map INOTAXA's taXMLit schema to other schemas like taxonX and TaxPub, provide search capabilities of marked up documents through INOTAXA, and develop an upload tool to input content into the backend database. Users of INOTAXA include taxonomists via Scratchpads and directly on the INOTAXA website, with wider users accessing it through the Encyclopedia of Life.
