Kleptomaniac: Who's Really Robbing God Anyway Tithing StudyDr. Frank Chase Jr
This book started out as a 117-page power point study. The research for this book became a historical and biblical analysis of modern so-called monetary tithe verses the authentic and approved biblical agricultural and livestock tithe. Journey through the power point presentation and then read more exhaustive 400 page book analysis of tithing system and how it got commuted to cold hard cash. The truth is shocking and will inform you of the truth that was hidden in plain sight. Check out the Tithe No More blog at http://tithenomore.com
Over the years, I've read and studied a lot about tithing and this one thing I know for sure, God never said he wanted money as a tithe. In fact, the Hebrew word for tithe the Ma'aser. It means tenth part. The tenth part that Ma'aser refers to everything eatable. The Bible does mention money but money was never paid to the priests or Levites as a tithe. Not one single occupation in the Bible that a person had ever cough up ten percent to temple. So if the Bible is clear on tithing and who paid the actual agricultural, herd and flock tithe, then why do people persist to perpetuate and non-biblical monetary tithe system that the foreign to the scriptures. 2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

1. Management & Leadership in
Ministry
Parliamentary Procedures
Robert’s Rules of Order
The BIG picture
2. Imagine
Imagine a business meeting where …
anyone could speak on any subject, as long and
as many times as they pleased … if everyone
could speak all at once, as loudly and harshly as
they wished, and were there existed no guidelines
on ‘how’ a decision is to be made.
3. The Big Picture
Unless your church happens to be
the 1 church in the entire world
where everyone who attends is fully
under the transforming influence of
the Holy Spirit… all other churches
will need a system of leadership and
regulations; for the natural
manifestations of the sinful heart
often leads to chaos and carnage;
disorder can rein supreme; individual
rights unfairly disregarded and
trampled upon.
1Tim.1:8-9; 2Tim.3:1-4; Gal.5:19-20; Judges
17:6,21:25; 1 Cor.3:3, 11:17-18, 14:27-33; Col.3:8
4. The Big Picture
Christians leaders place value not only
upon the decisions which are made, but
equally upon ‘how’ the decisions are
made.
Wise leaders ask: Is the business of
Christ’s church being conducted in a
God-honouring, just, fair, orderly and
transparent manner?
No other organization on
the planet is responsible
for the great task of
saving souls and making
disciples, thus we are
responsible to do what we
do, as well as we can.
5. Many of the following thoughts
come from Dr. Barry McCarthy
former professor and president of
Cincinnati Seminary, former
president of the Southern Baptist
Convention, and a certified
professional parliamentarian
6. Business meetings rules
exist so that...
1)Decisions can be made in an
orderly and respectful manner.
1 Cor. 14:23, 27, 40
i.e. - only 1 thing at a time
is to be considered,
debated or voted upon.
- only 1 person speaking
at a time.
7. Business meetings rules
exist so that...
2) The will of the majority rules.
Acts 15:22 (collective conscience)
- When you join a group, you enter
into a written and long standing
tradition, to agree with the other
members „to allow the will of the
majority to prevail on all questions
that come before the group‟ B. McCarty
- „gracefully submit‟ to the action
of the entire organization. H. Robert
8. Business meetings rules
exist so that...
3) The minorities voice & vote
must not be suppressed
Num. 14:6-9, 1Kg. 22:12, 2Chr.10:8
– every person/member has the right
and responsibility to propose a
motion or amendment, speak for or
against a motion, or vote according
to their conscience.
- Henry Robert said that the
majority must “give to the minority
a full, free opportunity to present
their side of the case”.
9. Real People
Real Feelings
Real Perspectives
That need to be respected
10. Business meetings rules
exist so that...
4) The essential objective of
parliamentary procedures, is
decision-making after debate.
Acts 11:4, 15:6,7
– good and godly decisions, tend to be
„informed‟ & prayerful decisions.
- French root word for „Parliament‟ is
parley = talk/ discuss
- there is far greater danger in
suppressing alternate views, than in
allowing opposing views. Sometimes
other views are wiser and more inline
with God‟s will. Pr.15:22, 11:14
11. Business meetings rules
exist so that...
5) All members have equal rights,
privileges & responsibilities.
Jm. 2:3, Gal. 3:28, Eph.6:9
- Godly people may disagree
passionately with one-another, yet
just as passionately insist on the
other person‟s right to speak & vote
against the motion before the group.
- Just as there is no favoritism with
God, so to there can be no partiality
in Christ‟s church. We acknowledge
the equality of all.
12. Business meetings rules exist so that...
6) All members have the right to
know ‘what is going on’ & the
implications of a motion.
2 Cor. 4:2
- While there may be times to not
„prematurely‟ share information …
there is no place in the business of
Christ‟s church for purposeful
secrecy, deception, or distortion of
the facts.
- Truth & clarity always set us free
- Lies & deception & cover-ups are
fundamentally inconsistent w Christ.
- Always err on the side of transparency
