Study to Assess the Knowledge on Behavioral Problems of School Children among...ijtsrd
The aim of the study to assess the knowledge on behavioral problems of school children among school teachers. Descriptive research design was adopted for this study. The population for the study includes school teachers who are handling the students in the age group between 6 12 years. The sample selected for the present study was 60 school teachers who fulfilled the inclusion criteria. Purposive sampling technique was adopted for the study. The study result shows that the knowledge of school teachers on behavioral problems of school children shows that 15 25 of school teachers having moderately adequate knowledge and 45 75 of them have inadequate knowledge and none of the school teachers had adequate knowledge regarding behavioral problems of school children among school teachers. The mean and standard deviation of the study is 14.02 4.26. The study concluded that knowledge of school teachers regarding behavioral problem were poor, so there is a need to improve the knowledge of school teachers about behavioral problem of school children. Dynamic Learning Program for Millennial Learnersijtsrd
This research determined the effectiveness of Dynamic Learning Program for the six science process skills of our Grade 9 millennial learners of Soom Integrated School, Trinidad, Bohol, Philippines. These six science process skills are observing, communicating, classifying, inferring, measuring and predicting. Fifty three students were the respondents of the study and quasi experimental method was used. To determine the significant mean difference, z test was used. The target topics of the experiment were the three modules of the third grading period Volcanoes, Climate and Constellation. Findings revealed that Dynamic Learning Program helped students obtain higher academic performance in science, thus the six science process skills were enhanced and developed. Post test data rejected the null hypothesis there was a significant difference between the pre test and post test scores of the student. An enriched Dynamic Learning Program was designed to address the issue on low performance in science subject. Jenny P. THE EFFECTIVENESS OF DIGITAL STORYTELLING ON LANGUAGE LISTENING COMPREHENSION...ijma
ABSTRACT
This study investigated the effectiveness of Digital Storytelling on the language listening comprehension of the pupils. The researchers used quantitative research design with mixed data collection. To evaluate the effectiveness of the KiDS material, a Quasi-experimental with pre and posttest was utilized. Findings revealed that the experimental group attained a very high score on their language listening comprehension test after the implementation of the material that shows a significant difference between the control and experimental group. To conclude, digital storytelling is one of the essential tools in teaching language listening comprehension. With suitable elements and appropriate storyboard it can help motivate the pupils and improve listening skill. Therefore, the use of KiDS material is recommended to make the teaching of language more effective.
Biology learning in the 21st century leads to the empowerment of metacognitive skills. Increased metacognitive skills can support concept understanding and maximize the students’ retention of concepts. This research aimed at investigating the effect of project-based learning strategy on metacognitive skills, concept understanding and retention of class X students of Senior High School 1 Kairatu, West Seram District, Maluku. This research is a quasi-experimental research using pre test-post test nonequivalent control group design. The samples of this research were all students of classX1 of Senior High School 1 Kairatu. The data obtained in this research were the learning results of metacognitive skills, concept understanding, and retention of the students. The data were analyzed by using analysis of covariance (ANCOVA). The research results showed that the implementation of project-based learning strategy had a significant effect on students’ metacognitive skills, concept understanding, and retention. Furthermore, the results of post hoc LSD test showed some differences in the notation between the project-based learning strategy and the conventional learning strategy. These results indicated that the learning stages of projectbased learning strategy could empower the students’ metacognitive skills, concept understanding, and retention.

The rife of technology nowadays hugely influences the way various disciplines are taught and learned in the classroom, and Science is no exemption to that. Cognizant of this, the present study aimed to investigate the impact of integrating the PhET simulations through online synchronous and asynchronous teaching of science on the learner’s science process skills. A total of 60 Grade 8 learners of Sto. Niño National High School were purposively chosen according to their learning abilities and were randomly grouped into two the online synchronous group and asynchronous group. Applying the two group pre test and post test design model, the study utilized a validated test questionnaire along with a validated self made survey questionnaire. Obtained post test achievement results have revealed the positive effect of integrating PhET simulation in online synchronous and asynchronous teaching of Grade 8 Science in distance learning. Furthermore, no significant difference was deduced between the two teaching methods with a P value of .057 which signifies the two teaching methods viability in the teaching of Science integrated with PhET simulation. Moreover, this study concludes that PhET simulation improves the learners’ science process skills as perceived by the learners. The learners’ agreement rate of both groups is high in the statement items in the perceptual questionnaire. Thereby, the study highly recommends the integration of PhET simulation in the teaching of Science to make teaching and learning more engaging, interactive and effective in this era of massive technological advancement. This research aimed to determine the effect of scrapbook child stories as a
media for storytelling skills for elementary school students. This type of
research was a quasi-experimental quantitative study with a pretest-posttest
group design. The population of this research was second grade elementary
school students of Candimulyo sub-district, involving two classes as the
control class and the experimental class. The test results were then analyzed
using the prerequisite test and hypothesis testing. The prerequisite test
consists of the normality test using the Kolmogorov Smirnov test and the
homogeneity test using the One Way Anova. Hypothesis testing using t-test
with independent sample t-test. The results of the analysis were then tested
using a significance level of 0.05. The results of this result showed that the
control class and the experimental class had a normal and homogeneous
distribution. The t-test results showed a significance level <0.05. It means
that there was a significant effect of scrapbook child stories to improve
storytelling skills.

This research aimed to find out the difference of cognitive learning achievement between students taught with Concept Attainment Model and those taught with Discovery Learning model. This study was a quasiexperimental research. The population of research was the 12th Science graders of SMAN 1 Karas of Magetan Regency in school year of 2016/2017. The sample was taken using cluster random sampling technique, consisting of two grades: the 12th Science 4 grade as the first experiment class using Concept Attainment Model and the 12th Science 3 grade as the second experiment class using Discovery Learning model. Technique of collecting data used was t-test technique for data of students’ cognitive learning outcome. Data analysis was carried out using unpaired two-sample variance analysis. The result of research showed there was a difference of cognitive learning outcome between the students treated with learning using Concept Attainment Model and those treated with learning using Discovery Learning. The cognitive learning achievement of students taught with Concept Attainment Model was higher than that of those taught with Discovery Learning.

THE EFFECT OF POSTER PRESENTATION TOWARDS

ABSTRACT
This study aims to examine the effect of poster presentation towards students’
creativity and poster presentation about pollution concept. The type of this study
was weak experiment with one group pretest and postest design. Population in this
research was grade 10 of senior high school students at Bina Nusantara International
School Serpong consists of 10 classes. The sample has taken by using random cluster
sampling technique. The quantitative data of this research has gained through concept
comprehension test and observational sheet, meanwhile the qualitative data gathered
through rubric and questionnaire Based on the analysis of the result, this research
obtained improvement in concept comprehension with normalized gain 0,307 which
was categorized into medium improvement. The correlation between students’
creativity and concept comprehension done by using coefficient correlation which
the result is 9%, meaning that 9% of concept comprehension may be explained by
creativity. Based on the result of questionnaires about the use of poster presentation,
it may be concluded that students were enjoying the use of poster presentation.
