Howard Gardner developed the theory of multiple intelligences, which posits that individuals possess nine different types of intelligence rather than a single general intelligence. The nine intelligences are: linguistic, logical-mathematical, spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, naturalist, and existential. Gardner defined intelligence as the ability to solve problems or create products that are valued within a culture. According to his theory, all people possess all nine intelligences to varying degrees, individuals have unique intellectual profiles, and the intelligences can work independently or together. The document instructs students to take an online multiple intelligences test and discuss whether they found the results accurate and the usefulness of such tests.
The document outlines Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences which identifies 9 types of intelligence: verbal-linguistic, logical-mathematical, musical, visual-spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, naturalist, and existential. Each type of intelligence is defined in terms of skills and potential career paths that relate to that intelligence. The intelligences range from verbal and logical abilities to musical, physical, interpersonal, and natural abilities as well as more philosophical capacities.
Class distinctions were reflected in medieval diets, with the nobility eating more varied and higher quality foods than peasants. Bread was the most common food for all classes, though peasants often ate coarser bread made from weeds or beans. Pottage or stew was a daily meal that could contain meat, vegetables or grains depending on one's social status. Table manners and methods of food preparation also differed between classes.

The ancient Olympic Games were a series of athletic competitions held every four years in Olympia, Greece in honor of Zeus. The Roman Empire had an extensive trade network that introduced a wide variety of foods unavailable in ancient Rome. Grains formed the base of most people's diets, with wheat and barley used to make bread that was essential to urban and military populations. Vegetables, fruits, meat, dairy, and olive oil were also important foods. Seasonings like salt, pepper, and garum fish sauce were widely consumed. Agriculture and markets supported the food system, with larger farms producing for cities. The grain dole in Rome helped feed many citizens. Upper-class dining involved multi-course meals with ingredients from across the empire. Wine was a central part of meals and rituals.

The students investigated properties of homemade toothpastes compared to commercial toothpastes. They created two recipes - one using baking soda, salt, glycerin and water, and one using baking soda, Cyamopsis tetragonolobus, glycerin and food coloring. They found the homemade toothpastes had better whitening abilities. The pH of the best homemade recipe was similar to commercial toothpastes. However, homemade toothpastes lack fluoride and have a less appealing texture and appearance compared to commercial brands.
