The document discusses the author's experience with klonopin withdrawal after being prescribed the drug for anxiety. They found that while klonopin initially reduced anxiety symptoms, they soon built up a dependence and experienced severe withdrawal effects like headaches, trembling, and disorientation if they missed a dose. Tapering off klonopin under a doctor's guidance proved difficult, with debilitating symptoms. The author had to seek treatment in a detox center to fully withdraw from the drug, and it took two years to fully recover from the physical dependence. The author questions whether klonopin's risks of severe withdrawal are properly conveyed, given their difficult experience.
Eisenstein focused on realistic camera angles and large group movements in his films. He used montage, the collaboration of various shots, as a key editing strategy to tell stories centered around a main idea and recreate reality. Montage is still used today, as exemplified in a scene from Rocky IV that shows how shots are compiled to convey meaning.

Traits of a good listener include being non-evaluative, paraphrasing, reflecting implications and hidden feelings, inviting further contribution, and responding non-verbally. A good listener does not judge the speaker, paraphrases to clarify understanding, uses body language like nodding to encourage the speaker, and asks open-ended questions to learn more without interrupting the flow. Non-verbal cues like eye contact and facial expressions also help convey interest and understanding to the speaker.
Non Invasive Methods Of Estimating Pharmacokinetic ParametersThilak Chandra
This document discusses non-invasive methods for estimating pharmacokinetic parameters, specifically collection of saliva and urine as alternatives to blood sampling. It covers mechanisms of drug transport between plasma and saliva/urine, factors influencing passive diffusion, techniques for collecting saliva and urine, and methods for determining pharmacokinetic parameters like elimination rate constant from urinary excretion data. The major advantages of these non-invasive methods are that they avoid risks of blood collection and improve subject compliance.

Creativity is the basis of our very existence on earth. It is also the precursor of societal progress. The culture of instilling of creativity, invention and innovation makes a society enriched than another society. Valley of Death is an inevitable step that has to pass through every invention before it becomes innovation that diffused to the society in the course of time. Creativity has two dimensions-one is philosophical another is functional. Creativity is based upon novel idea regardless of types and the reason which initiated the process. Even the most novel can not be protected until it is not manifested tangibly. Presentation has focused on four different basic forms of IPR i.e., Patent, Trademark, Industrial Design and copyright with suitable real life examples.

The salmonella outbreak related to the Peanut Corporation of America’s products resulted in nine deaths and hundreds hospitalized. According to industry estimates, the peanut industry suffered $1 billion in losses from consumers avoiding peanut products. Recently, two executives were sentenced to 20+ year jail terms and the QA manager was sentenced to a 5 year jail term. These criminal convictions are the first of their kind for a food poisoning outbreak. Join us as we discuss lessons learned from the PCA case and what you can do to prevent a similar situation from occurring in your organization.
This document discusses topics around social housing in Europe. It addresses issues like affordability, mobility, demographics, and financing social housing. It notes that over 1.3 million asylum seekers came to Europe in 2015. Inequality in housing is increasing, with housing costs disproportionately burdening low-income tenants. Affordable housing shortages, empty homes, high construction costs, and obstacles to credit are ongoing problems. Cities struggle with increasing housing prices that push people out. Innovative solutions are needed to provide permanent, decent and affordable housing connected to opportunities.
The document summarizes the key findings of the 2017 report "The State of Housing in the EU" published by Housing Europe. It finds that while economic growth has returned to Europe, inequality is increasing and many are being left behind. Housing markets are recovering but prices are growing faster than incomes in most countries. The crisis exacerbated housing exclusion and homelessness, while policy responses have been largely inadequate. Cities are developing innovative solutions to address affordable housing challenges with limited national support.
