This document provides information about UNIDO projects and activities in the Europe and Central Asia region. It discusses UNIDO's investment and policy work. It also summarizes several approved projects involving phasing out ozone-depleting substances, including HCFC phase-out management plans for countries like Macedonia, Croatia, Serbia, Turkmenistan, Montenegro, and Turkey. 3. UNIDO PROJECTS IN ECA REGION
• 1.341 projects were approved over the period 1992 to 2011 and
1.141 projects were completed; 200 projects ongoing.
• ECA network and associated CEIT countries: 205 projects were
approved and 170 projects were completed; 35 projects ongoing.
• Data on completed projects are collected from implementing agencies
by the Fund Secretariat using standardized formats for different types
of projects.
• The PCRs covered all the sectors.

• The 60th Ex. Com. Meeting approved Criteria for funding the HCFCs
Phase-out Management Plans
• Macedonia’s HPMP has been approved with funding up to 2020.
Macedonia can submit its HCFC phase-out management plan
(HPMP) funding requests for activities related: to the phase-out of the
use of HCFC-141b in pre-blended polyols, and to the disposal of ODS
at future ExCom meetings;
• The 61st ExCom Meeting approved the Croatia HPMP
