Sixty-three percent of Americans view disinformation as a major problem in society. The most trustworthy sources of information are family, friends, and people similar to oneself. Democrats are more likely to trust mainstream media than Republicans. Forty percent view President Trump as very responsible for spreading disinformation, along with fake accounts and politicians generally. Seventy-two percent believe Trump should be responsible for combating disinformation but only 36 percent say he is doing well at it.
