There are many well informed people who (justifiably) regard Property as a preferred investment. This is indeed a valid opinion provided the environment doesn't behave abnormally. However, since the 2008 financial crisis a period of global disruption followed and the market "tanked" and the industry has no option but to follow suit. This is the reason for the current poor state of tye property market; it is waiting for the economy to recover and property will play its part in the recovery, Fact is the industry is currently in the valley of death - but in the lower turning point. Some Companies survived and their focus now is to climb up the slippery slope of the valley. This will be laborious, one step upward and two back - but there is no alternative. The strategy now is growth. Enrol for our two day Masterclass in Strategic Leadership.

DiB QLD 8 Mar Damien Mander Presentation with PhotosBlake Barrett CSC
Damien has lived an extraordinary life for a 37 year old. At 19, as a garbage collector in Melbourne he joined the Australian Defence Force, graduating through one of the most arduous courses as a RAN clearance diver. With the ADF’s counterterrorism restructure following 9-11, Damien joined the elite TAG-East force, training as a sniper. Later as a private contractor he deployed to Iraq where he project managed the Iraq Special Police Training Academy overseeing training and deployment of local troops. After three years in Iraq, he left the front lines with no direction in life.
A trip to Africa in 2009 awakened him to the horrors the natural world is facing from poaching. Recognizing the unique skills he possessed by virtue of his training and experience in military roles, Damien liquidated his savings, and founded the International Anti-Poaching Foundation (IAPF).
Now a multinational not-for-profit, the IAPF runs operations on the front lines of the world wildlife wars, protecting iconic endangered species from slaughter by poachers. Using battle-proven tactics, training and technology in what is effectively a counterinsurgency operation the IAPF has recently demonstrated striking success in Mozambique. Operating in the most critical area on earth for rhino protection, losses have been reduced by over 80%.
Damien talked about his journey and IAPF’s model, operating in areas which represent high environmental value and where application of the organization’s unique capabilities can produce an effective and enduring local solution.

Unveiling the Secrets How Does Generative AI Work.pdfSam H
At its core, generative artificial intelligence relies on the concept of generative models, which serve as engines that churn out entirely new data resembling their training data. It is like a sculptor who has studied so many forms found in nature and then uses this knowledge to create sculptures from his imagination that have never been seen before anywhere else. If taken to cyberspace, gans work almost the same way.
Putting the SPARK into Virtual Training.pptxCynthia Clay
This 60-minute webinar, sponsored by Adobe, was delivered for the Training Mag Network. It explored the five elements of SPARK: Storytelling, Purpose, Action, Relationships, and Kudos. Knowing how to tell a well-structured story is key to building long-term memory. Stating a clear purpose that doesn't take away from the discovery learning process is critical. Ensuring that people move from theory to practical application is imperative. Creating strong social learning is the key to commitment and engagement. Validating and affirming participants' comments is the way to create a positive learning environment.

meet
David HudsonFAIM, MAIPM, MIPMA, CPPD
We are very pleased to have David share his expertise of current PM
standards and emerging trends. David works with Australia's best
companies in developing world class leading Project Management
principles, to position them as globally competitive organisations.
David will help you understand how to align your business strategy
with a program of work, implement organisational transformation.
David has partnered with major 'blue chip' Australian companies and
has an enviable track record as National President of AIPM
(Australian Institute of Project Management) and is the first
Australian to be elected as a Vice President of the prestigious IPMA
(International Project Management Association), the 'United Nations'
of Project Management.
David will discuss the changing face of project management in the
private and public sector; how it is driving and influencing business
and organisations at a strategic level. He will talk about changes in
the project management profession nationally and internally and why
a project management career is the ‘new black’. David will talk about
the alignment of defence and project careers, based partly on his
own success in the transition. He will also break some urban myths
about defence people automatically making good project managers.
This will be an excellent opportunity to learn from and network with a
highly experienced PM practitioner and participate in an interactive
discussion on personal development at the QUT Business School.
Daryl Kirkhope from Defence in Business Queensland will MC and
share event plans for 2015.
