Several technologies has been developed to removal of sulfur compounds from liquid fuels is oxidative
desulfurization, hydro desulfurization, catalytic hydro desulfurization, bio desulfurization etc.. Although several studies have
reported enhancement effect of ultrasound irradiation on oxidative desulfurization, exact mechanism underlying this
enhancement is not known yet. In this study, we have addressed this issue with dual approach with how pressure and
temperature effect the desulfurization mechanism. Results of this study have given interesting revelation of interaction
between mechanism of ultrasound, cavitation and oxidation system. Isolation of cavitation phenomenon helps to increase the
extent of oxidation. This effect is attributed to formation of hydrogen and carbon monoxide during transient collapse of
cavitation bubbles due to thermal dissociation of hexane vapor entrapped in the bubble, which hamper action of O species
generated from oxidation system. Transient cavitation itself does not give rise to radical formation due to rather low
temperature peaks reached during collapse. Therefore, cavitation does not enhance the oxidation process, but in fact, has
adverse effect on it. Current study has established that beneficial effect of ultrasound on oxidative desulfurization system is
merely of physical nature (i.e. emulsification due to intense micro-mixing) with no involvement of sonochemical effect.

Silicone rubber has emerged as an alternative material for porcelain insulators and glass insulators on a
high voltage transmission because it is lightweight, so it helps in planning the structure of the transmission tower.
However, due to the cost of production of silicone rubber insulators are expensive and it is less resistant to climate
change, it has not been used extensively as in Indonesia. One method to get silicone rubber insulator that is cheap is
to mix it with other materials in the form filler that is inexpensive and easy to obtain as fly ash of coal because this
material has a particle size that is very fine and its contents are materials that have been and are being investigated as
filler of silicone rubber. This paper describe about the research that has proven the feasibility of fly ash as filler for
silicone rubber. The results of this study is the tensile strength of silicone rubber increased proportional to the
increase of fly ash content on silicone rubber, but lowers elongation-to-break of the silicone rubber. Furthermore, the
electrical properties, namely the dielectric strength of silicone rubber will increase with the addition of filler (fly ash),
where the greatest dielectric strength on the composition of the filler (fly ash) 40%. As for the relative permittivity is
increased with the addition of filler (fly ash) to silicone rubber by 50%. And the silicone rubber surface resistance will
increase with the addition of filler (fly ash).

Intelligent bus tracking system using android is an application that tracks a bus and collects the distance to each station. Tracking system involves the installation of an electronic device in a bus, with an installed Android App on any smart phone to enable a user to track the bus location. There are two applications one for server and other for the client. The user can get flexibility of planning travel using the app, to decide on which bus to take or when to catch the bus. The waiting time of the user can be reduced. By using this application user get the information about buses, bus numbers, bus route, bus arrival and bus delay timing information etc [1]. It provides information about which bus coming to the stop. By the presently existing system we are dealing with three terminals, a device on bus, a device at bus stop and a device on the master bus stand so as to keep the track on the all city busses. By employing this tracking system the arrival of the bus is detected near the bus stop and also can be seen on the PC at the master bus stop. GSM modem can also transmit the bus information to the registered mobile numbers. Hence, we can control the bus traffic and can detect the arrival of particular bus at the bus stop.
Experimental Study on Bearing Capacity of Micro Grid Galam Wood Pile on Soft ...AM Publications
Construction on soft soil raises several issues. The low bearing capacity, high compressibility and the low permeability of the soft clay caused the problems both design and construction. While galam wood (Melaleuca leucadendra) have been used for many years as micro pile due to their durability and bearing capacity improvement, limited knowledge is available on performance of micro grid galam wood pile. The experimental study was conducted to analyze its bearing capacity and settlement of soft soil supported by micro grid galam wood pile. The study conducted on 2.00 x 3.00 x 2.00-meter concrete box container. Then the loading test on soft soil using two grid models such as square model and triangle model. The result shows that the use of grid modelled pile has significant role in increasing bearing capacity of soft soil. It increased approximately 500% of bearing capacity of soft soil. It is not significant bearing capacity improvement difference between square model and triangle model, however triangle model is better square grid model.

Aby lagoon is facing various anthropogenic pressures. The aim of this work is to look for phthalic acid esters in sediments of this lagoon. For this purpose, seasonal campaigns of sampling of sediments were done from September 2007 to July 2009. Samples analyses were possible thanks to use of chromatograph in gas phase with mass spectrometer (GC/MS). Determination of found molecules concentrations was realised by the method of internal calibration. The used internal standard is imidaclopride concentration of 2 mg/mL. Sediments samples analyses of Aby lagoon revealed the presence of eight phtalates. They are dibutyle (DBP), di (2-ethylhexyle) (DEHP), di (2-methoxyethyle) (DMEP), di-isobutyle (DIBP), di-isodecyle (DIDP), butyloctyle (BOP) and didecycle (DDcP) phtalates. DBP, DIBP; DEHP and DMEP are successively the most abundant phthalates in lagoon sediments; DHP, DIDP, BOP, and DDcP are poorly represented.

An experimental investigation has been explore in order to study the flow of fluid and heat transfer characteristics on a Rectangular Wavy microchannel heat sink. Various applications are envisaged for the use of microchannel heat sink in electrical and electronic power generation and distribution. The Heat sink with microchannel is designed on an Aluminium specimen with Rectangular Wavy configuration with a channel cross section of 1mm x 0.5mm.To improve the heat transfer performance of the cooling system is achieved by using nanoparticles in the fluid passing through the microchannel heat sink. Results are presented by using different concentration (with 1% to 3%) of Nano fluids in water for the heat sink. Various cooling characteristics including thermal resistance, temperature drop and pressure drop across the microchannel heat sink are analysed for different volume concentrations, different volumetric flow rates and Reynolds number. Other significant characteristics for the measurement of heat transfer characteristics across this microchannel heat sink are also analysed and presented in this experiment.

Abrasive Waterjet (AWJ) cutting has proven to be an effective technology for material processing with the distinct advantages of no thermal distortion, high machining versatility, high flexibility and small cutting forces. In this paper, Taguchi robust design analysis is employed to determine optimal combination of process parameters. The Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) is also applied to identify the most significant factor. The process parameters such as pressure, transverse speed, stand of distance and abrasive flow rate are optimized to investigate their influence on Metal Removal Rate (MRR) and Surface Roughness (Ra) of Inconel. Experiments are carried out by L9 orthogonal array and the results are provided to verify this approach and credible tendencies of output parameters with respect to the input parameters are discussed, from which recommendations are made for process control and optimization.

Dynamics Behaviour of Multi Storeys Framed Structures by of Iterative Method AM Publications
Dynamics refers to the branch of mechanics that deals with the movement of objects and the forces that drive that movement. Structural analysis which covers the behaviour of structures subjected to dynamic (actions having high acceleration) loading. Dynamic loads include people, wind, waves, traffic, earthquakes, and blasts. Any structure can be subjected to dynamic loading. Dynamic analysis can be used to find dynamic displacements, time history, and the frequency content of the load. One analysis technique for calculating the linear response of structures to dynamic loading is a modal analysis. In modal analysis, we decompose the response of the structure into several vibration modes. A mode is defined by its frequency and shape. Structural engineers call the mode with the shortest frequency (the longest period) the fundamental mode. This paper presents a study on mode shape, inertia force, spring force and deflection of multi storied framed structures by comparison of stodola’s and Holzer method. This study involves in examination of theoretical investigations of multi storied framed structures. Overall four storey multi storied framed structures and two methods were analysed & comparison of all the mode shape, inertia force, spring force and deflection at the critical cross-section with same configuration loading by keeping all other parameters constant. The theoretical data are calculated using code IS 1893, IS 4326, IS 13920. The all storey mass and stiffens are analysed under the cantilever condition. The research project aims to provide which method is most accuracy to find the mode shape, spring force deflection and inertia force. The studies reveal that the theoretical investigations Stodola’s method is most accuracy compare to the Holzer method. The maximum mode shape, spring force, spring deflection and inertia force is 87.29%, 80 %, 89% and 72% is higher the Stodola’s method compare than Holzer method in same configuration.
Performance of Soft Soil Stabilized by Fly Ash with Natural Fiber Reinforceme...AM Publications
The use of clay as a landfill cover system is a choice of alternative materials that are widely used in almost all the existing landfill system in Indonesia and in the world. In addition to the relatively low cost of procurement is also available in almost all regions in Indonesia. However, alternative reliable overburden landfills has not been much discussed and researched. The purpose of this study is to design an ideal final cover layer landfill technically and mechanically. The results showed that the addition of fly ash and palm oil fiber (POF) between 10% of fly ash and 0.5% of POF can enhance the mechanical value of soils. the compressive strength of soils increase from 39.4 kPa to 89.0 kPa or rose by 129%, decreasing the value of soil hydraulic conductivity is to be 1,2x10-7 from the initial value of 1,17x10-6 or decreased by 850.4%, increase in soil friction angle of 8.55° to 24 °, and lowering the soil liquid limit of 33.48% to 24.5%, decreasing of swelling potential of 8 % to only 1.5% at the end of the wetting cycle, reduce the cracking intensity factor (CIF) from 1.96% to zero cracks. Mechanical behavior is heavily influenced by the nature of fly ash which has of a small water absorption and change the water in the soil for the pozzolanic reaction and produce calcium hydrate silica (CSH), in which the reaction is to form granules (binder) in the soil so that the soil becomes dense and hard, while palm oil fiber have cellulose and lignin as dominant compounds that tend to have high water absorption but serves to strengthen the fiber tensile force between the fibers and the soils surface due to adhesion forces so that the soil is not easily collapse and reduce the potential shrinkages and cracking of the soils.

Rolls-Royce has been developing high integrity digital processing solutions for its safety critical aerospace engine controllers since the 1980s. By the turn of the century, the electronics industry experienced an inflection point. This resulted in a shift to a consumer driven market and a much-reduced focus on the harsh environment electronics and the extended life cycles required by the aerospace industry. As a result, Rolls-Royce took the decision to design its own microprocessor, and for the last 25 years, has been successfully developing harsh environment safety critical processing solutions for all its aerospace engines.

ambient, of various structures.
Since leakage current generates heat,
thermal imaging is an ideal and cost-
efficient tool to measure approximate
levels of leakage current.
Thermal imaging by infrared cameras of
insulators coated with
Si-COAT and those left uncoated reveal
that uncoated insulators undergo an
appreciable rise in temperature.
Each Celsius degree rise in temperature
above ambient roughly correlates to 2 mA
of leakage current.
The approximate 9°C temperature rise of
uncoated sections in this photograph
indicate roughly 18 mA of leakage current
on uncoated insulators.
Coated insulators show no rise in
temperature, translating to an effective
zero level of leakage current.
