This document provides information about an engineering training grant program that allows employers to hire engineers and receive reimbursement for a portion of their on-the-job training costs. The program aims to help unemployed or recently graduated engineers gain specialized skills and experience. To be eligible, employers must not have any current layoffs, pay wages above the average for the role, and commit to retaining employees after training. Engineers must have a relevant degree, be eligible to work in the US, and be currently unemployed. The training is directed by the employer at the work site and once complete, participants remain employed.
