SAFETY TIP FOR THE MONTH
 Make certain that vents are clean.
 Thoroughly clean your grill. Grease buildup can cause a fire.
 For gas grills, check and secure all gas connections. A leak can be fatal.
 Keep your grill at least 10 feet away from your home or other combustibles.
 Don’t barbecue indoors, including in a garage. You can suffocate from the fumes.
 Don’t use gasoline or paint thinner to start your fire.
 Keep children away from the grill. Each year many children are burnt or injured.
 Have a fire extinguisher nearby.
Many of us will be lighting up the
grill this summer and having
cookouts for friends and/or family.
For this month’s safety tip, let’s
take a look at grill safety.

You helped
MISSIONCENTRAL
fight the deadly
Ebola virus in
Sierra Leone
by generously
donating
$27,440.17
Generous donations from YOU helped us to make some very important upgrades to and around the grounds of our
29-year old building.
We replaced our sidewalk
in March because it was
deteriorating.
This project was made
possible thanks to a grant
from Community Aid.
We added shipping lanes to the
warehouse!
We removed the pine trees that
lined the property. They will be
replaced with memorial trees.
A $10,000 grant from UMCOR
allowed us to install automatic
door openers in the front of the
building and at the bathrooms.

Editor's Notes

  • #14 We are part of the UMCOR Relief Network Mission Central owned by Suquehanna Annual Conference Sage Brown, Baldwing LA and UMCOR West in Utah owned by UMCOR/UMC Denomination Remaining network warehouses owned by respective conferences except the Mission Barn in Western PA – owned by a local church Pastor assigned part-time as pastor and part-time as director of Mission Barn. MC most diverse of all warehouse UMCOR Warehouses – exclusive UMCOR KITS with maybe one local mission outreach Others same. MC & MC HUB – UMCOR is our core work as UMC/ but then are very intentionally inter-denominational; inter-faith; and even partner with secular relief agencies
