The way we consume content is changing. From movie releases to learning resources, one-size-fits-all broadcast models are failing to offer audiences the depth and quality of digital experience they expect.
Are personalised learning strategies – which analyse the learner's individual needs and behaviour to connect the right people to the right learning resources at the right time – the best way for smart organisations to re-engage their learners?
See the slides from this exciting interactive double session at Learning Technologies 2016, where specialists from Brightwave Group were joined by experts from the L&D space to explore the state-of-the-art in personalisation and discuss its potential application to learning and engagement in the workplace.
Expert panelists:

Robin Hoyle, Senior Consultant at Learnworks Ltd
Colin Welch, Head of Production at Brightwave
Myles Runham, Head of Digital, BBC Academy
Caroline Walmsley, Managing Director at Brightwave
You\'ve Got the Power is a very popular session delivered to frontline staff in schools and offices. It helps staff understand the key role they play in building and breaking school/district reputation and delivers five "power tools" to help them maximize their reputation-building influence.
We know that you know all the wonderful things going on inside your library, but does everyone else? View the steps in promoting your program to your students, administration, staff, and community. Highlights of this session will include free resource you can (and should) use, clever ideas for promoting your program, and how you can use this to document your professional growth and portfolio. KC will also share Department of Libraries resources that you can use.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
