To meet the needs of today’s demanding consumers, store associates need to have real-time product information on hand. In fact, 51% of retailers recently surveyed by Retail Systems Research (RSR) say that “Making our employees ‘smarter’ and better informed’” is one of the most important uses of in-store technology. Mobile tools, such as tablet PCs, bring the information to the sales floor, so associates no longer need to walk away from their customers to find answers to questions. A global revolution is in full swing, and the Sustainable Brands Conference is where sustainability, brand and innovation leaders gather to learn, share and strategize to shape the future. SB'12 was the largest gathering to date, a kinetic convergence of innovators from more than 150 companies from around the world finding new ways to create monumental disruption in traditional models of commerce and consumption.
Topics such as “sustainability” and “Corporate Social Responsibility” (CSR) are no
longer new issues on asset managers’ agendas. But how do you integrate these CSR
challenges with necessary sourcing decisions? In this article we describe the environmental
challenges that organizations are facing and the model that can be used to incorporate
sustainability targets into sourcing alternatives.
Find out what Aberdeen has to say about sustainability. This report serves as a roadmap for companies that are attempting to match environmental and social stewardship to clear, actionable, and measureable improvements to their bottom lines.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is everywhere, promising self-driving cars, medical breakthroughs, and new ways of working. But how do you separate hype from reality? How can your company apply AI to solve real business problems?
Here’s what AI learnings your business should keep in mind for 2017.
Study: The Future of VR, AR and Self-Driving CarsLinkedIn
We asked LinkedIn members worldwide about their levels of interest in the latest wave of technology: whether they’re using wearables, and whether they intend to buy self-driving cars and VR headsets as they become available. We asked them too about their attitudes to technology and to the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the devices that they use. The answers were fascinating – and in many cases, surprising.
This SlideShare explores the full results of this study, including detailed market-by-market breakdowns of intention levels for each technology – and how attitudes change with age, location and seniority level. If you’re marketing a tech brand – or planning to use VR and wearables to reach a professional audience – then these are insights you won’t want to miss.

Dear Shareholder,
Successful companies choose what they want to do and then they
actually do it better than others. While doing so, they learn and improve.
As we close the year, we can look back and count many things that we
achieved and did well. At the same time, there is tremendous
opportunity ahead.
This past year, we at MphasiS sustained our transformation journey and
sharpened our focus in key areas. We chose our strategy and executed
to plan. While we did this, we looked at improving our profitability. The
combination of operational excellence and improved quality of revenue
helped us achieve this goal.
Our hyper-specialisation journey continues and is generating a higher
quality pipeline. The changing landscape of the services market place
offers us a unique opportunity to surge ahead in our select areas.
In line with the above direction, we are embarking on an exciting journey.
Our next phase of three years will see us drive greater differentiation through several efforts such as:
• Greater investment in Go-to-Market activity while keeping an eye on maintaining our margins. We are confident that this will translate into more investment in Sales, Solutioning and Marketing.
• Be known for having one of the best sales and customer engagement teams. To enable this, we have engaged a top notch consulting firm, which will help with the transformation.
• Achieve leadership in select areas of emerging services. We have chosen Mobility and Advanced Analytics. You will see us making investments in these two areas.
• Invest in building partnerships in chosen solution segments and be known for best-of-breed services in the solution areas. We are going to build a team that will manage this solution business with first class ‘domain experts’.
We are building an engine crucial for our success. This will result in attracting and nurturing world-class professionals.
Our fundamentals are strong and we have demonstrated our strategy in action. This journey is by no means complete. We are excited by the enthusiasm, participation and partnership of employees, customers and shareholders.
We have miles to go and I am confident that some of our efforts today will set a benchmark for the industry in the future.

Contact Center Processes - Best PraticesBrian Hughes
Call Centers remain the crucial touch point in Customer Relationship Management (CRM). To help companies win additional customers and market share, they must give customers superior service while delivering measurable business value at low cost. Optimizing operational processes – in addition to customer delivery processes – helps call centers meet these goals. This paper describes how organizations can use this approach to achieve “Top Box” performance in customer delight while significantly reducing costs and improving enterprise competitiveness.
Enterprise Relationships are fundamental to business
success. The research - conducted with Cambridge University Business School - shows how relationships lead to long
term mutual advantage, in which value is largely created by
the quality of interaction between the parties. The overall
performance of a company will therefore depend on how
well it is able to manage its own Enterprise Relationships.
Furthermore the White Paper starts to explore how digital communication can deliver value into these relationships.
This report seeks to discover whether
businesses are taking the right decisions in
order to achieve greater productivity and
ultimately competitive advantage. Another
goal of the survey was to find out if
businesses do appear to be moving with the
pace of technology in order to increase their
overall efficiency. Is productivity regarded as
a core strategy to achieve results, and if so,
are businesses using the right technologies
and strategies in order to maximise and fulfil
this strategy to its full potential?

According to Gartner, 70% of social implementations fail because they lack a business purpose. When it comes to harnessing the power of social software, a focus on business value is required. This whitepaper defines a strategic framework for gaining business value from social software. It outlines six successful rollout strategies. Each of the six approaches delivers different business results, and has a different level of risk. And most importantly, each has different requirements to succeed. To be successful with social software, you need to choose the rollout strategy that is best for your organization, and understand its requirements for success.
When management opens the books and reveals the financials to the workforce, it is a sign of good faith, entrusting employees with the tools to make business improvements. It is also evidence of a commitment to collaboration, giving employees the broadest and deepest exposure to major changes in the business.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

zkStudyClub - Reef: Fast Succinct Non-Interactive Zero-Knowledge Regex ProofsAlex Pruden
This paper presents Reef, a system for generating publicly verifiable succinct non-interactive zero-knowledge proofs that a committed document matches or does not match a regular expression. We describe applications such as proving the strength of passwords, the provenance of email despite redactions, the validity of oblivious DNS queries, and the existence of mutations in DNA. Reef supports the Perl Compatible Regular Expression syntax, including wildcards, alternation, ranges, capture groups, Kleene star, negations, and lookarounds. Reef introduces a new type of automata, Skipping Alternating Finite Automata (SAFA), that skips irrelevant parts of a document when producing proofs without undermining soundness, and instantiates SAFA with a lookup argument. Our experimental evaluation confirms that Reef can generate proofs for documents with 32M characters; the proofs are small and cheap to verify (under a second).
