PROJECT TIMETABLE
This timetable provides a structured plan for each phase of the vegetable community
project throughout different months, allowing for consistent progress, community
involvement, and evaluation at the end of the project. Adjustments can be made based on
specific community needs or unforeseen circumstances.
MONTH ACTIVITIES
August – September Week 1-2: Site selection and preparation
Week 3-4: Soil testing and amendment, procurement of seeds
and necessary equipment
Week 5-6: Planning and designing the layout of the vegetable
garden, involving community members in the process
October - November Week 1-2: Commence planting of vegetables based on the design
plan
Week 3-4: Implement irrigation systems and maintain regular
watering schedules
Week 5-6: Monitor plant growth, conduct workshops or training
sessions on gardening techniques for community members
December -January Week 1-2: Continue monitoring plant growth and provide
necessary care (weeding, fertilizing, pest control)
Week 3-4: Harvesting of early maturing crops, organize
community gatherings or markets to share or sell produce
Week 5-6: Plan for the introduction of livestock or additional
planting for the next cycle, assess the project's progress and
community engagement
February-March Week 1-2: Expand the garden area if needed and prepare for the
next planting season
Week 3-4: Start planting new crops or initiating livestock
activities, conduct educational sessions on nutrition and healthy
eating habits

2. Week 5-6: Monitor and manage the growth of new crops and
livestock, organize community events to encourage participation
and knowledge sharing
April Week 1-2: Maintain garden upkeep, including regular watering,
weeding, and pest management
Week 3-4: Continue harvest and distribution of produce,
organize cooking or nutrition workshops using harvested
vegetables
Finalize project reports, evaluate the project's impact,
gather feedback from community members
May Evaluation and Assessment:
Reflect on the project's achievements, challenges faced, and
lessons learned
Assess the project's impact on the community in terms of food
security, income generation, and community engagement
Gather feedback through surveys or community meetings to
improve future initiatives
