Research Analysis
• What common features do the researched
products have?
They’re all 2D with the character being always the centre of the screen. They all have
an objective to collect such as rings on coins and they’re all also timed. They all have
unique characters who are all bright in colour. They all share the common factor in
having extremely bright colours with background props and whatnot. They all include
things designed to make the course harder like obstacles to jump over and enemies to
harm you.
• What aspects of the research will you include
within your on work?
I will include the bright colours, obstacles and enemies in my game. I will also add
collectibles in the form of bullets and enemies and obstacles in the shape of cactuses
and scorpions. A timer will also be present.
My Target Audience

an expensive burden on the consumer.

  1. Choose a recent product similar to your own and annotate it Type of image- studio/location, angle, effects, post-production Use of lighting/composition/mise en scene/costume/props/location/colours/fonts etc. Audience appeal- how does it make its audience want to buy/watch/play it?
