Valentine's Day traditions originated from ancient Roman festivals. On February 14th and 15th, Romans celebrated Lupercalia, during which young people would draw each other's names to be partners. Sometimes these pairings resulted in marriage. Saint Valentine secretly married Christian couples despite the Roman emperor's ban on marriage, and was martyred on February 14th. Over time, Valentine's Day incorporated traditions such as the giving of gifts like roses, cards, candy, and the use of symbols like hearts and Cupid. Red roses symbolize love, white roses symbolize purity, and yellow roses symbolize jealousy. Cupid represents love through his arrows, while doves and lovebirds also became symbols of love and marriage

During the Middle Ages, certain gems were thought to evoke maximum energy when worn in a particular month. Gradually one gem is added every month. Wealthy people often own twelve designated stone ornaments, which they wear year-round.Over time, it became more common to wear only stones throughout the year of one's birth. Even wearing jewelry with other stones that are not your own birth month was considered unfortunate. In the early 1900's, six of the oldest birthmarks were replaced by the more readily available and affordable ones. Furthermore, a list of traditional birthstones initially originated between the 16th and 18th centuries. A January birthstone, garnet’s colour palette also spans hues like deep violet, green, yellow and orange beside the most commonly found red. And when it comes to jewels, it looks especially stunning in rings, necklaces and earrings.
Its name is derived from the Medieval Latin word granatus, meaning ‘pomegranate’. Because of its red color, garnet is a lustrous gemstone that looks so attractive. It dates back to ancient times when garnets were worn in elaborate necklaces. The birthstone is also known to have many healing properties such as balancing the root chakras, regulating blood circulation, flushing out toxins from the body, and recharging your sexual energy.
A January birthstone, Garnet’s color palette also spans shades like deep purple, green, yellow, and orange next to the most commonly found reds. And when it comes to jewelry, it looks especially stunning in rings, necklaces, and earrings.
Amethyst is derived from the Greek word amethyst, which means ‘not drunk.’
Acclaimed for its deep purple hue, which ranges from a pale lilac shade, the February birthstone has long been associated with royalty and was a highly favored jewel of kings and queens.
While this powerful gemstone signifies personal empowerment, higher intuition, inner strength and mental clarity, it looks equally stunning when worn as jewellery. Be it a pair of beautiful earrings, a diamond and sapphire necklace, or a beautiful ring.
The document summarizes the Romanian tradition of Mărțișor, celebrated on March 1st. It involves exchanging a small decorative object tied with a red and white string, representing vitality and victory. The string is believed to bring protection and the return of spring. THE SACRIFICE HOW PRO-PALESTINE PROTESTS STUDENTS ARE SACRIFICING TO CHANGE T...indexPub
The recent surge in pro-Palestine student activism has prompted significant responses from universities, ranging from negotiations and divestment commitments to increased transparency about investments in companies supporting the war on Gaza. This activism has led to the cessation of student encampments but also highlighted the substantial sacrifices made by students, including academic disruptions and personal risks. The primary drivers of these protests are poor university administration, lack of transparency, and inadequate communication between officials and students. This study examines the profound emotional, psychological, and professional impacts on students engaged in pro-Palestine protests, focusing on Generation Z's (Gen-Z) activism dynamics. This paper explores the significant sacrifices made by these students and even the professors supporting the pro-Palestine movement, with a focus on recent global movements. Through an in-depth analysis of printed and electronic media, the study examines the impacts of these sacrifices on the academic and personal lives of those involved. The paper highlights examples from various universities, demonstrating student activism's long-term and short-term effects, including disciplinary actions, social backlash, and career implications. The researchers also explore the broader implications of student sacrifices. The findings reveal that these sacrifices are driven by a profound commitment to justice and human rights, and are influenced by the increasing availability of information, peer interactions, and personal convictions. The study also discusses the broader implications of this activism, comparing it to historical precedents and assessing its potential to influence policy and public opinion. The emotional and psychological toll on student activists is significant, but their sense of purpose and community support mitigates some of these challenges. However, the researchers call for acknowledging the broader Impact of these sacrifices on the future global movement of FreePalestine.

She had been disputing with her son Cupid as to which was more beautiful... herself or a bevy of girls,
