The study examines the impact of economic fluctuations and international sanctions on tourism in Kish Island, Iran, highlighting the challenges faced by shop owners and tourists during this period. Utilizing a field survey, the research reveals that tourists adopt cost-saving strategies while shop owners confront an unstable economic environment filled with risk and uncertainty. The findings underscore the complexity of the relationship between economic crises and tourism, emphasizing the need for effective management and policy responses to safeguard the industry.
