This document introduces the concept of therapeutic tasks or "tareas" which are assignments given by therapists to clients between sessions. It provides five examples of typical tasks from brief systemic therapy. The examples illustrate tasks focused on observing exceptions to problems, acting differently as a family, disrupting problematic sequences, incorporating metaphors, and paradoxical prescriptions for working with obsessions. Therapeutic tasks can be more cognitive or more behavioral and aim to amplify solutions rather than just problems.

The document discusses an alternative proposal for a maritime park in Puerto Barón, Valparaíso, Chile. The main ports in the world have undergone radical changes with containerization, rationalizing land use and demolishing walls separating ports from cities. Currently, the local government is negotiating with a retail company to build a shopping mall in Puerto Barón, which is supported by the municipality but rejected by much of the population. The alternative proposal aims to contribute to the debate about developing this emblematic location, where the maritime future of Valparaíso is at stake. It proposes a double function maritime park that shapes the land for recreation and sports while allowing controlled sea access to create navigable and swimming areas. The park would connect
This document discusses air quality evaluation in Argentina. It notes that air pollution poses acute and chronic health risks, especially in urban areas where exposure is increasing due to population growth. However, most areas of the country have limited information and monitoring programs to evaluate air quality situations and quantify trends. While large cities face air pollution risks, smaller urban and rural areas can also be affected depending on local emission sources. The document stresses that ensuring access to clean air is important for public health and that improving air quality is a key prevention tool for diseases caused by contaminant exposure.

This document provides an overview of Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences. It defines intelligence as the ability to solve problems, generate new problems to solve, and create valuable products or services within one's culture. Gardner identified eight intelligences: linguistic, logical-mathematical, spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalist. The theory emphasizes that intelligence is multifaceted and influenced by culture, and that focusing only on linguistic and logical abilities minimizes the importance of other ways of knowing.
This document provides an overview of concepts from Theurgy and Goecia, or white and black magic. It discusses the creation of the cosmos through divine hierarchical forces and principles. Theurgy involves invoking celestial spirits and intelligent principles in accordance with cosmic law for beneficial purposes. This paper analyzes exchange rate behavior across 154 exchange rate arrangements between 1970-1999 to assess if countries' official labels match their actual practices. The authors find that countries claiming to float their currencies do not actually float and there is widespread "fear of floating." Countries classified as freely or managed floating resemble non-credible pegs. The supposed "demise of fixed exchange rates" is a myth, as fear of floating persists even in developed countries. The authors present a framework explaining why countries fear floating and large exchange rate swings.

Oberste establishing enteroviruses in chronic diseasesdegarden
This document discusses establishing evidence for enterovirus infection in chronic diseases like type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM). It outlines how enteroviruses have been associated with the development of prediabetic autoimmunity and the onset of clinical diabetes through epidemiological, seroprevalence, and temporal correlation studies. Sensitive reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) methods need to be used to detect viruses prior to diabetic symptoms in large prospective studies to firmly establish a causal relationship. The authors have developed a sensitive nested RT-PCR protocol and molecular typing methods to identify enterovirus serotypes that will be valuable in examining relationships between specific viruses and diseases.
This document provides a concise pre-summary of the content that will be covered in an upcoming lecture. It contains graphs, formulas, and very basic explanations of the concepts that will be discussed, allowing students to fill in blanks and take supplementary notes. It is not meant to replace suggested readings and has not been exhaustively proofread. The content focuses on magnetic interactions and their experimental observation, as well as mathematical and conceptual descriptions of magnetic fields produced by electric currents.

Assessment and Planning in Educational technology.pptxKavitha Krishnan
In an education system, it is understood that assessment is only for the students, but on the other hand, the Assessment of teachers is also an important aspect of the education system that ensures teachers are providing high-quality instruction to students. The assessment process can be used to provide feedback and support for professional development, to inform decisions about teacher retention or promotion, or to evaluate teacher effectiveness for accountability purposes.
A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
