This motion requests that the California Department of Justice be designated as a qualified recipient of confidential portions of the deposition of Don Clark, which may be relevant to their investigation into the death of Anna Nicole Smith. The deposition suggests Clark has attempted to influence investigations against Stern despite admitting he has no legitimate evidence of wrongdoing. Designating the California DOJ would allow the relevant deposition testimony to be shared regarding Clark's lack of objectivity and evidence in his pursuit of prosecuting Stern.
Defendants’ motion to strike plaintiffs response to defendants’ reply brief i...Cocoselul Inaripat
Defendants filed a motion to strike the plaintiff's response brief to their reply brief in support of their motion for summary judgment for the following reasons:
1) The local court rules do not permit a response to a reply brief without court approval, which was not obtained.
2) Even if permitted, the plaintiff's response brief exceeds the 20-page limit for response briefs and the 10-page limit for reply briefs.
3) The defendants argue the plaintiff's response brief should be stricken from the record.
This document is a motion filed by the State of Texas seeking to file a bill of complaint against Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin challenging their administration of the 2020 presidential election. Texas alleges that these states unconstitutionally changed their election laws, resulting in significant irregularities. It then outlines the principles of damage control resuscitation, including hypotensive resuscitation, hemostatic resuscitation to prevent coagulopathy, and aggressive bleeding control. The document reviews data from recent military conflicts showing improved outcomes with higher fresh frozen plasma to red blood cell transfusion ratios and the use of platelets and fresh whole blood for resuscitation.
Brooke Stephens conducted an experiment to test the effectiveness of soap versus water alone in cleaning coffee grounds and cooking oil from hands. When scrubbing with just water, little of the mixture washed off and hands remained dirty. However, when using hand soap, the coffee grounds and oil were almost completely removed, leaving the hands virtually spotless. The results showed that soap is much more effective at removing stubborn dirt and grime from the skin than water alone.

And workarounds like raised canopy systems allow rooftop panels without fire code issues. As costs come down and approval streamlines, more building owners are adopting solar energy to meet New York's renewable energy goals.

Teamwork is one of the author's main transferable skills. Throughout years of playing football for multiple teams, teamwork helped win trophies like an All-Ireland final where backing each other through mistakes and giving 100% led to victory. Teamwork was also important for rearranging a shop for Christmas sales efficiently. Physical ability is another key skill, as the author enjoys sports and was active in jobs like delivering heavy boxes that required strength. Time management is also strong, like starting assignments immediately and arriving early to lectures to get good seats. Spoken communication could be improved through presentations, though the author is shy initially but opens up over time. Flexibility allows the author to adapt quickly to new surroundings like different football teams,

This document is a reply brief filed by defendants in a class action securities litigation case. It summarizes and responds to arguments made in the lead plaintiffs' opposition to the defendants' motion to dismiss. The defendants argue that the court can consider SEC filings, press releases, and transcripts referenced in their motion. They also contend that the lead plaintiffs have misstated facts and failed to provide the full context of disclosures made during the class period. The defendants assert that statements were not misleading and that the plaintiffs have not sufficiently pleaded scienter. This document is the decision by the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York to approve General Motors' motion to sell substantially all of its assets to Vehicle Acquisition Holdings LLC under Section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code. The court approved the sale over objections from minority bondholders, tort litigants concerned with successor liability, asbestos litigants, and non-UAW unions. The court found that a Section 363 sale was necessary and appropriate given GM's dire financial situation and inability to survive a traditional restructuring through a Chapter 11 plan.

It also claims the City has improperly closed some requests and demanded payment for records not listed in its fee schedule. The petition seeks an order requiring the City to comply with the Nevada Public Records Act and provide timely access to public records.

Recro Vs. Actavis - Recros findings of Fact and Conclusions of LawAndrew Cunningham
This document contains Recro's proposed post-trial findings of fact and conclusions of law regarding its infringement suit against Actavis Laboratories FL, Inc. Recro alleges that Actavis's generic versions of the extended-release hydrocodone product Zohydro ER infringe Recro's U.S. Patent Nos. 9,132,096 and 6,902,742. Specifically, Recro argues that Actavis's ethylcellulose-based coating is equivalent to the claimed polyacrylic coatings of the '096 patent, and that Actavis's active-ingredient containing pellets deliver hydrocodone in a pulsatile manner as required by the '742 patent. Recro seeks a finding that Actavis

Lifting the Corporate Veil. Power Point Presentationseri bangash
"Lifting the Corporate Veil" is a legal concept that refers to the judicial act of disregarding the separate legal personality of a corporation or limited liability company (LLC). Normally, a corporation is considered a legal entity separate from its shareholders or members, meaning that the personal assets of shareholders or members are protected from the liabilities of the corporation. However, there are certain situations where courts may decide to "pierce" or "lift" the corporate veil, holding shareholders or members personally liable for the debts or actions of the corporation.
Here are some common scenarios in which courts might lift the corporate veil:
Fraud or Illegality: If shareholders or members use the corporate structure to perpetrate fraud, evade legal obligations, or engage in illegal activities, courts may disregard the corporate entity and hold those individuals personally liable.
Undercapitalization: If a corporation is formed with insufficient capital to conduct its intended business and meet its foreseeable liabilities, and this lack of capitalization results in harm to creditors or other parties, courts may lift the corporate veil to hold shareholders or members liable.
Failure to Observe Corporate Formalities: Corporations and LLCs are required to observe certain formalities, such as holding regular meetings, maintaining separate financial records, and avoiding commingling of personal and corporate assets. If these formalities are not observed and the corporate structure is used as a mere façade, courts may disregard the corporate entity.
Alter Ego: If there is such a unity of interest and ownership between the corporation and its shareholders or members that the separate personalities of the corporation and the individuals no longer exist, courts may treat the corporation as the alter ego of its owners and hold them personally liable.
Group Enterprises: In some cases, where multiple corporations are closely related or form part of a single economic unit, courts may pierce the corporate veil to achieve equity, particularly if one corporation's actions harm creditors or other stakeholders and the corporate structure is being used to shield culpable parties from liability.

40. 11/10/2015 283 Judge Allison D. Burroughs: ELECTRONIC ORDER entered. CardiAQs
Motion to Re−Open the Depositions of Mark Pace−Floridia and Krista Neale
is denied. [251, 277]. The Court notes, however, that during their depositions
and Randy Lanes previous deposition, Neovasc clearly over objected to
questions that should have been allowed. To compensate for this, but without
re−opening the Floridia and Neale depositions, the Court will allow CardiAQ
to depose Randy Lane for three hours, with the extra one−and−a−half hours
allocated for customer topics not previously adequately covered as a result of
the objections. This ruling will not impact the length of the upcoming Dr.
Quadri deposition, which should not exceed three hours. (Folan, Karen)
