Celebrating 160 years of transforming lives and restoring hope

             Dear Daniela,

On March 19, 1851, nine children ranging from 3 to 12 years old,
moved into the first home of the San Francisco Orphan Asylum, now
known as Edgewood Center for Children and Families. On this date
of our 160th anniversary, we thank all of our friends and supporters
for helping us to reach this impressive milestone.

What our founder Mrs. R.H. Waller knew then, and what we know
now, is that children who grow up in stable, loving homes are more
likely to become happy, well-adjusted, contributing members of our
society. That’s why Edgewood keeps family at the heart of our work.
Our agency has a proven track record for helping children and
families overcome life’s toughest challenges through our work in the
home, in schools, and in the community. In order to help us reach the
next 160 years, please consider contributing to our Anniversary Fund.

Thank you for your continued support. We wouldn’t have made it this
             far without you.

             Warm regards,

Edgewood Center for Children and Families
