It’s about Gloucestershire. The diversity and strength of its
business, people and community. Gloucestershire is a fabulous
place to live, play and do business and that’s why this show is so
important.
Conceived in 2013, in response to the deepest recession in
recent history, The Gloucestershire Business Show delivered its
first year’s event in 2015, creating a diverse platform for dialogue,
consultation, innovation, collaboration, and growth promoting
Gloucestershire as a great place to do business.
Since then, this unique show is the largest gathering of
businesses, business leaders and prospective clients in the
county.
Now in its third year the show has already succeeded in
connecting a vast range of people and businesses from Micros
enterprises & startups, through small medium & large SME to
corporates and multi national companies.

“The Gloucestershire Business Show is a
fantastic opportunity to strengthen the links
between education and business. To keep
the UK economy successful, we need high
skill, innovative, knowledge-intensive
growth. That means businesses and
universities working ever more closely
together. The show is a great opportunity to
make those connections.

“At HRML, we thought we should try The Gloucestershire Business Show
for 2016. It proved a major success for us with real new work and
valuable new contacts who we have been actively working with since.
So whilst it provides that all essential profile, it has also shown tangible
benefits for us. We have already confirmed our booking for 2016.”

This was our first experience of exhibiting to this target market and at this
level, and what a great experience it was. We worked in partnership with
the Gloucestershire Constabulary to develop and execute Cyber Security
scenarios which were very well received by the audience.
The show itself was a great insight into the SME market, a key target for
PGI and our cyber services and training academy. The visitors to the show
engaged well with our stand and the atmosphere at the event was great.
As lead sponsors we were involved in speaking slots and branding
opportunities which I think were well managed and presented. A huge plus
side for myself was the engagement with the shows organisers, Pete and
Antonia. As regular exhibitors at trade shows and events I engage with
organisers on a daily basis, but the level of professionalism and
communication with Pete and Antonia was brilliant and made the whole
lead up to the event so much easier.
We look forward to working with you again soon.

“The Gloucestershire Business Show brought the county’s exciting and
diverse business scene together under one roof in a positive and mutually-
supportive way. As well as offering a great array of useful, practical
workshops it was also the perfect opportunity for us to meet many of our
members – and indeed recruit and sign up even more. It was a very
enjoyable and worthwhile event.”

Spaces for Business are planned and delivered collaboratively by

Food & Farming Zone – New for 2107, a number of our sponsors and exhibitors
have come together to celebrate and promote Gloucestershire’s rich culture of
agricultural production, innovation and business. With 83% of Cotswold land committed
to Agricultural use, the sector is a vastly important part of Gloucestershire's business
community.
Training & Development for Business – Training & development forms a vital
channel to growth for any business team. Gloucestershire’s training providers support
this with a view to providing as much in county as possible and also to provide a high
value offering out of county. Our Education Partners collaborate at the show to consult
on what businesses need and to present the county’s services.
Science & Technology Business Zone – Science, Technology, Engineering
& Maths are drivers for innovative Science & Technology in Businesses. New for 2017,
the Science & Technology Business Zone will showcase cutting edge technology from
both established and developing businesses, inspiring new business development in
the sector.
Digital Security Zone – Digital Security, cyber-attack, awareness, understanding,
prevention. In a digital age where business risk from digital compromise and online
fraud is growing rapidly, Gloucestershire is set to lead the way at every level in the
Country’s response. In a very new industry sector, rapidly embracing HR specialists,
insurers and the legal industry. Our sponsors, partners and exhibitors have come
together to explore what business can be done, to present the products and services
that will protect, and to show the technology in action, educating and informing, helping
Gloucestershire's business community understand and protect appropriately against
this growing threat

Business Advice Centre – Our Business Advice Centre brings together at one
service point the strategic business advisors from GFirstLEP, InnovateUK, UKti,
Institute of Directors, CBI and others. It’s the home of our Access to Finance team and
it’s coordinated for us by Gloucestershire Frederick’s Foundation. With a broad team of
advisors and mentors covering a wide range of business advice services, the centre is
there to be used as a place to go for advice & guidance at any stage of your business
journey.
Creative Suite – The arts are embedded in business at every level. From graphic
design to media communications and from the performing arts through to creative
innovation processes. The most stunning inventions, products and designs have the
arts integrally engaged with engineering and technology in their development. New for
2017 we have a small theatre space presented by Gloucestershire Business engaged
in performance arts and delivering a programme designed to understand further the
relationship between business and the arts.
Space to relax – As the day starts, throughout the day or at the end of a long stint
on an exhibition stand, it’s important to have time to relax, have a drink and spend time
with colleagues, business contacts, or new friends with common business interests.
For exhibitors, partners and sponsors we have the Exhibitors Lounge to provide space
with complimentary tea and coffee where you can take clients to talk, hold pre-arranged
business meetings, or just take time out to relax and re-charge.
