1. Intuitive interfaces and digital experiences. Job seekers are consumers too and are familiar
with the features and functionality of consumer applications. Adopt the interfaces and design
metaphors to make recruiting applications easy-to-use for greater success.
1. Recommendations. Consumers have come to expect recommendations in many ecommerce
experiences– they help guide the buyer to things they are more likely to purchase and enjoy
consuming. Match jobs to job seeker preferences to encourage application and improve quality
of candidate.
2. Drip irrigation/lazy registration. Minimize barriers during the login or transaction process.
Collect only the most necessary of information and then progressively prompt the job seeker to
provide more and build a comprehensive profile.
4. Research and reviews. As they would for a major purchase, job seekers heavily research jobs
before applying and/or when making a career decision. Monitor and manage your employer
brand in the various channels job seekers can access.
5. Mobile-enabled, 24/7 access. Consumers increasingly use mobile for all their digital needs,
including shopping, media, and banking. The expectations for ease of use and accessibility
extends to mobile job applications too.

Adopt the interfaces and design metaphors to make recruiting applications easy-to-use for greater success. 1. Recommendations. Consumers have come to expect recommendations in many ecommerce experiences– they help guide the buyer to things they are more likely to purchase and enjoy consuming. Match jobs to job seeker preferences to encourage application and improve quality of candidate. 2. Drip irrigation/lazy registration. Minimize barriers during the login or transaction process. Collect only the most necessary of information and then progressively prompt the job seeker to provide more and build a comprehensive profile. 4. Research and reviews. As they would for a major purchase, job seekers heavily research jobs before applying and/or when making a career decision. Monitor and manage your employer brand in the various channels job seekers can access. 5. Mobile-enabled, 24/7 access. Consumers increasingly use mobile for all their digital needs, including shopping, media, and banking. The expectations for ease of use and accessibility extends to mobile job applications too.
