Some of the key recommendations include: pitching sustainability as a governance issue that impacts share price; linking it to future career opportunities for the CEO; offering leadership on high-profile sustainability issues; demonstrating how it motivates and engages employees; and arranging first-hand experiences to see social and environmental challenges faced by communities and suppliers. The overall goal is to make the business case for sustainability in a language executives can relate to around opportunities, competitiveness, and risk management.
